I've been generally looking at the substitutional alloy pieces. Sometimes they need an upgrade module and sometimes just glimmer. Prior to Shardowkeep, it was, same to same, was only glimmer. But that's not the case anymore. I haven't figured out what triggers the need for an upgrade module versus just glimmer. It doesn't seem to be element or stats or power related. Maybe something with the piece having mods on it? Does anyone know?

2 RepliesIve been told that armor from the season pass when infused with the same armor will require upgrade modules for some reason, however if you get it from the vex offensive, it will not.

3 RepliesIf the item you want to infuse is a copy of the item you want to infuse it INTO (example infusing a Subjuctive with higher power into one of lower power) it'll just cost you glimmer. Otherwise you need to use an upgrade module. The only exception is weapons and armor that came from the Seasonal Pass. Infusing any items that came directly from the book, will always cost you an upgrade module.
