With all these unstoppable, barrier and overload champions almost every primary exotic weapon has become useless in PvE. Meanwhile Recluse is better than most exotics and can still equip mods. It's seriously getting boring.
So for the love of all good, let us equip weapon mods on exotics. (And also nerf Recluse, it has been the king of primaries long enough).

Exotics need mod slots, alot of them are great weapons but just not worth using at end game, or at least harder to work builds for, Letting us apply mods to exotic weapons would allow us to play the weapons how we want to much more freely, exotic weapons should be better than legendary weapons. As for the recluse, I couldn't care less. But if a large player base is choosing one weapon in particular it suggests to me that others should be balanced to it, that way more people enjoy a more diverse range of them

^ THIS!!!

I bet recluse gets a nerf for next season. They’re probably working on it right now. No, I don’t want recluse to get nerfed, but it’s all players use and destiny history tells me a nerf is incoming.

STFU😡 Tired of you crybabies calling nerf

11 RepliesYou had my vote until you said nerf Recluse. Downvoted.

16 RepliesEdited by Savathuns Acryllic Nails: 10/29/2019 1:49:49 PMDownvoted. Tired of plebs asking to nerf a gun that already got nerfed. They should focus on fusions in pvp and oem. Exotics are effective. Git gud and adapt. But seasonal mods on exotics should be ok
-
1 ReplyRecluse does not need a nerf!!!! There's plenty of other guns ppl can use in its place and there just as good.... it's a great gun but there are other guns that compete with it, you just need to play around and find them..
-
Please don't nerf Recluse...
-
Everything you said but don’t nerf recluse
-
If they won’t let us put like icarus or etc on exotics that’s fine. But as long as we can put the new pve mods and they make more of those for weapons I would like to see that on my exotics. Sucks having to run certain pve load outs why can’t I just blow up a barrier champion with a sun shot with anti-barrier rounds
-
4 RepliesLet me guess a PC player. Yeah recluse is a laser on PC but ps4 that thing is hard to control.
-
3 RepliesKaal, you make some valid points and I agree that Eververse should be removed from the game, but whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather, he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank just outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.

At the very least it would be nice to have the barrier or overload rounds to put on exotics
-
6 RepliesRecluse is easy to counter my dude. Maybe you just suck.
-
GIVE ME ICARUS GRIP ON MY CHAPERONE ALREADY
-
I was just thinking and missing my crimson.... Maybe they could give exotics some reduced modifier to whittle away at shields so they dont make the mods completely useless....
-
11 RepliesRecluse should not get a nerf. Quit calling for nerfs. Something has to be the best. If Recluse gets nerfed something else will take it's place then you will ask for that to get nerfed.
-
Now I di agree with this at least the aqua colored ones. Otherwise it's pointless to use exotic weapons in shadowkeep

(And also nerf Recluse, it has been the king of primaries long enough)
Asking for nerfs? Way to go, dude.
-
This would work if it was limited to artifact mods. Which they probably can't do.

Edited by SIERRA - 117: 10/29/2019 7:49:30 PMActually i was thinking what if all the exotic weapons get updated and come a perk already built into it, and it fits with how the weapon functions. For example: sleeper simulent shoots a big laser. I could see this exotic weapon having shield piercer, whereas leviathan has champion stopper. Sunshot shoots explosive rounds that causes enemies to detonate, which also damages other enemies nearby. So i could see this weapon having overload rounds. Not only is the enemy you are shooting disrupted, but other enemies nearby that are damaged bu the explosion are also disrupted. I could see malfeseance having champion stopper. The first shot interupts the champion, then you can follow it up with several gunshots that then burrow into the champion for extra damage. Again these are several examples.

4 RepliesBeing able to boost the stats of exotics is asking for major balancing problems. But I will agree on being able to add anti-champion mods to Exotics.

Leviathan's Breath has anti-unstoppable built in as we've noticed... We're right here (as a group): Exotics need a way to combat a mechanic that is unaffected by their cumulative uberpowered design, i.e. Unstoppable, Barrier and Overload champions. I guess it can be argued that your other weapon slots can be setup to easily break through any of those mechanics, but what if your preferred primary is a Masterwork with no mod slot? In that case, you are limited to either a handgun, a bow or an auto-rifle in the secondary with a preordained mod select which at any rate is only going to take care of one version of champion. In a pick up group, you can have odds that nobody has gear to combat some type of champion, which is really fun as some of us may have discovered by now. I understand that the game is more fun if you have to mix your equipment for different challenges and if you have to work with friends, new or old, to get through certain content. I also understand that the difficulty scaling is not setup to afford casual play styles an easy time, or even a chance in hell, and for good reason... But: Every good mechanic added to mix the pot of desirable gear and the pursuit of those types of gear also adds to the complexity of enjoying the game. This may not effect all equally - I personally become compulsively, egregiously entangled in simulating different loadouts of equipment to the point of panic and tears, and ultimate disillusionment. I also occasionally stand in front of the potato chip section at the supermarket for many, many minutes before giving up on the whole idea as too complicated, so I may be an outlier - but here's the thread nonetheless. For people like me, and also probably for many others, it would be really nice to have a freer system in setting up a weapon mix to account for one, two or all three special mechanics where weapons and the excitement about specific weapons is integral to the whole game. How that system should look I am not in a good position to advise, but I bet someone still has the notes behind the reasoning of Hard Light the auto-rifle exotic, and Borealis the sniper rifle exotic. Anyway, it's all workable and functioning well as is with these champ mechanics, but it seems it could improve for a worthwhile number of us out here maze-running.

Upvoted. 👏👏👏

1 ReplyI agree with the exotics needing to be able to have the new mods applied. I'm getting risk runner withdrawal symptoms! Recluse is the next best thing, it seems very dominant at the moment due to the mod restrictions but it doesn't need a nerf
-
I don't think recluse is as bad as people make it out to be in pvp. Still very powerful but not stupid overpowered. In pve though, yeah I agree it's too much. It's hardly ever worth having anything different equipped in the energy slot.
