Edited by ADragonWithin: 10/28/2019 9:25:08 AMDestiny and Destiny 2 are both live games. Everything you do is saved continuously as long as you have a connection to the save data servers. When you lose connection to the save data servers, the game will kick you out with an error code because a connection is required for the above reason; it's a live continuously-saved game. Progress in activities is not saved beyond Checkpoints in Raids, so if you have to stop mid-mission, when you return, you will have to start that mission from the beginning, but beyond that, you're fine.

This game is an always on-server based game. Everything you do auto saves to the live server, you literally never have to save anything on your end.

you dont.. it is always online and saves your progress automatically.

Edited by Corrick II: 10/28/2019 7:17:57 AMIt auto saves as you go. Everything from milestones to progress to gear. You can literally stop and turn off the console and all your stuff will be there when you boot up again. The only thing you can’t do is save during an activity like strikes or something. You’ll have to start those over. Raids give you checkpoints but those reset every week.
