Please make WHISPER OF THE WORM a SPECIAL AMMO gun and if possible MOVE it TO the SECONDARY SLOT if possible.
Reason for this request is that I am a sniper user. I have tested the damage it does and is nowhere competitive with any special or kinetic with triple tap or four times the charm. It has no business on the heavy slot either. The gun is simply not an option where it is in the ammo option or slot. You can even get a better roll not sacrificing an actual exotic slot. I love the gun since D1 but as of it is right now, is kind of a waste which is very sad to say the least. At least if the gun was moved from slot and ammo type, it could compete with rolls and just for the looks and perks, maybe people would consider using it. The gun is not a problem as in current meta. There is way better guns you can get in random rolls like Beloved that can actually get mulligan and four times the charm or even Mulligan,Box Breathing without even having to do a catalyst.Damages are comparable and arguably the beloved is better.
I dont want to see this gun go to waste.
EDIT: ALSO THE WHISPER DOESNT TAKE ADVANTAGE FROM SNIPER AMMO SCAVENGER OR FINDER! WHATTT??????? Ohhh yes, because its considered a HEAVY...... SEE THE PROBLEM?????

I fully agree. While I wouldn’t say it’s outclassed by legendaries, it’s current state is not heavy slot worthy. Even with max impact, it’s actual DPS is easily outclassed by things like Izanagi’s, Xenophage, and anarchy. I think the special slot would make a nice little home for Whisper, and give people a reason to use it outside of SOTP and EoW.

They could just restore White Nail to infinite ammo instead of pulling from reserves, since no one asked for that change and Bungo just decided to shit on the gun for no reason

Whisper doesn't need to move. But darci would be in a perfect spot if it was made special without a damage nerf. The loss of auto loading put it on par with other special snipers.

4 RepliesLmao Whisper is the 2nd highest dps sniper in the game, first if you take away reload buffs for izanagi. You just want to use it with your spike nades and have that EZ button available.

Whisper does the highest damage in the game with its catalyst. And sniper ammo finder does work on it. No special or kinetic gets close to its damage. On the eater of worlds raidboss. Whisper without proccing box breathing.....3.7 million. Izanagi with catalyst....3.3 million. And that is all shots fired.

Its still one of the highest dps and damage dealing weapons in the game. Moving it into the special slot would nerf the damage from being a heavy weapon and it would actually be worse considering legendary snipers would still beat it with those perks.

3 RepliesOk, for sure! After all, the whisper’s crit damage is 4x body shot damage! That totally doesn’t mean that it still is one of the best DPS weapons and special snipers are garbage compared to it... oh wait
