If I really wanted to be mean I could run way of the pathfinder and rigs and just web up the enemies as they spawn in. To be honest, I don't enjoy doing that nor using solar subclasses in general though. I never switch off of Arc Staff because it's way more fun to use and boxing is way more enjoyable. Still, both supers have their limits as to what they're capable of. What makes them more frustrating to deal with is their spontaneous use, it generally comes out when you're least expecting it. BB can be blocked by sentinels (ward of dawn eats it too), whirlwind guard can return it to sender, and Warlocks can blink to throw off the close range tracking. Shadowshot is stopped by ward of dawn and fizzles out when it comes into contact with whirlwind guard. It's also takes longer to reach its target than BB from my experience.

Just play the fun police build and suppress nade the entire time. Use armamentarium for double nades. The whole point of mayhem is to spam abilities.
