Don’t bother working on it back next year Put the effort into the other let down - ShadowKeep ...another ‘Comet’ dlc that’s barely lasted 6 weeks! (And that’s WITH the incredibly poor Season Pass) There’s NO content nor reason to login! It feels nearly as lacklustre as Curse of Osiris!

I made a conscious decision not to even approach Eva in the tower, I mean, why set yourself up for total disappointment 🤷

10 RepliesThe YouTube ad starts out with "Free for everyone" and then does nothing but show stuff that you have to buy. Typical of Bungle to put crap in their promos that misleads and misrepresents. The video makes out like the Halloween gear is all free - yeah, right. And they have a bridge they want to sell you too.

One thing you guys did absolutely right: the decorations. So much better than last year. Even though things are costly at Eververse the FoTL items are awesome.

I ran the Haunted Forest and I had fun. It looked great. It was pretty much the exact same thing as last year, but I expected that. I was disappointed that the loot was pretty sparse except what you had to get from Tess. I wouldn’t mind buying a few items as I did have fun. But the cost was what turned me off. Anything over $5 is just too much for a seasonal event. Most of us have a lot of Dust and could get some items that way (I won’t go into the ridiculously high Dust cost now). However, Bungie recently touted how this was now a partially free game. This brought in a lot of new people. People who have almost zero expendable materials like Bright Dust. They might feel like they could (or should) buy the cosmetic items for Silver since they got all this way for free. I know there are a lot of people who will say “it’s cosmetic and doesn’t affect gameplay” or “if you’re too poor...” Neither of which are the point. The point is items for an event should be either earned in the event or available for purchase at a reasonable cost.

I know it's not a huge deal, but I'm sure some would like to be able to finish the quest. Edit: Is the Emote even in the loot pool anymore?

Fun event. I’ve been playing with my sons and we are enjoying our runs through the Haunted Forest. I don’t ever buy anything from Eververse so those costs don’t bother me. That being said, if people want to buy stuff it’s up to them. Just have fun and enjoy the game in your own way.
