The Emperyon arms ornament would look better if both shoulders were the same.

Isn’t it a throwback to medieval knights?

5 RepliesI hate how a lot of shaders look terrible on hunter armor. I try to put on a red shader and it's basically all black or grey. I try to put on a blue shader and it's all green. It's like it applies the accent color of the shader as opposed to the primary color and it's very annoying. It makes it hard to find good shaders for hunter armor, or at least shaders that look different from others.

1 ReplyGood call. I mean, I’m okay with this on some sets, but I feel like you see this with a fair amount of frequency on armor sets. The shoulders pieces look the worst in my opinion - one side has a huge armor shell around the shoulder while the other has nothing. Just looks odd.

Edited by Tyranosaurus Vex: 10/25/2019 3:09:58 PMThe whole armour/shader system needs looking at, compared to Destiny, Destiny 2 seems to have a lot less variety in appearance of armour except for shaders. Sadly those shaders also come in some pretty ugly or pretty samey colour schemes. Can we get more armour models put in and then move from shaders to here’s your colour pallet, here are the different parts on each armour. Choose your colour for each..... Edit; Meant to add that titan armour seems to also have a lot of asymmetric bottom half armour too. I aslo hate that.

What about the PoE strides? Nothing like having your 3 testicles on your knees.....
-
The same thing happened at d1 and no one complained, it's a lore thing since a hunter's armor is made of scavenged parts
-
I believe the original description of hunter armour was that it was fashioned from multiple pieces of different armour that had been scavenged so I guess that’s why most armours aren’t symmetrical.
-
1 ReplyYeah I just want my hunter to look cool
-
To make it easier to place the handcanon on the side and not on the back like on Warlock lol
-
So true
-
For boots if you have the Dragonfly Regalia ornament those are quite nice.
-
5 RepliesOk so you know the vex-themed ornament set that you get from the annual pass? Yeah why the f**k does the left leg not have the cool robot foot, what idiot designed that?! Who the hell just saw the super cool robot foot design and just said "heh, you know what would look super cool, if the other foot was literally just a boot. That would look dope" Like fr the left foot is literally just a boot. WHY? nothing else on the set has anything like that, if they maybe made the rest of the pieces have stuff like that to maybe make it look like you scrapped the armor together with vex parts then that might have been cool but nope. I was really going to consider using the set but fr that one thing just bugs me so much and I hate it. It is literally just a question of why is it there? Why was it added? It looks stupid, there is nothing you can present to me that will logically explain why the designer decided to do this.

Lost some kneepads while hunting their prey... 😂😂😂😬😬😬
-
Idk I think it’s to follow the theme that hunters sort of make their armor from what’s their in the wilds kinda but idk tbh. Certain armor sets asymmetry is good others it’s bad
-
2 RepliesThat's the majority of warlock armor to. All of our helmets also looks like eggs. It's kind of annoying.
-
I dunno but it infuriates me, I hate asymmetry. Those legs from the seasonal would be my absolute favorite if the one side wasn’t missing a “boot” 🥺
-
yeah I disagree, I like them how they are, love the legs too!
-
I dont mind it one some gear, but it's like every single set?
-
The Emperyon arms ornament would look better if both shoulders were the same.
I like it when there’s just the 1 shoulder pad but not when the other arm looks like sliced ham. Too skinny

1 ReplyEdited by Banzai: 10/24/2019 3:19:42 AMMaybe becoz Hunters are supposed to be space bums. No... Wait. Space hobo rolls of the tongue better. Space hobo with a shotgun!
-
2 RepliesIt's thematic. Titans represent warriors, knights, military. Warlocks are scholars, mages, academic elite. Both represent larger organizations. The hunter is supposed to represent the fringe of society, the scout, the rogue. While the military has uniforms and academies have dress codes, the hunters have scraped by with makeshift piecemeal armor to represent independence and solitude.
-
Because they specialize in asymmetric warfare....
-
This has been the bane of my hunter for years, all the way back to vog.
-
They’re a lot of times where it looks good, mainly with sets that look scavenged or are from made from enemies. However the asymmetrical look doesn’t fix with most sets that don’t have that “scavenged” theme for example the current Iron banner armour.

2 RepliesWhy do Titan helmets so often look blank/featureless? Torobatl celebration mask is one of my favorite helmets because it actually has some character to it. The optimacy helmet from last season's eververse set is also really nice, because it has a sort of visor to it.
-
Titans too?
