Why am I losing 60 glory for a loss but gaining only 40 for a win? Your stupid matchmaking is pushing DOWN the ranks!
This is just utter bull shit. This system is a god damn joke. (FYI: Gaining 120 for a 5 win streak, I break even at 2W1L THEREFORE I have to keep up a win rate of 3 wins for every loss to making any progress. Completely unrealistic! At the 4k levels!!)
Once again I feel let down. Crucible just always seems to have some god damn catch. Why can't you just make it fair just for one single season? Rip Bungie.

I know, its stupid, I won 7 games straight and I went from 3500-4400 and I was like hey that's great and then I lost 2 games and now I'm at 3367 somehow

1 ReplyYour math is off. You need less than 2 wins per loss to progress. 5 win streak is about 120, that’s 2 losses for break even. 2 wins per loss is about 240 to 60 and 3 is 360 to 60. More than enough to progress.

Most people just aren't good enough to hit Legend solo. At around 4700 or 4800 I started losing back to back games and realized hitting it solo just wasn't going to happen for me as fast as I'd like. So I got a team and hit it relatively easy. Tldr: Get a team. Even an average team can hit legend this season pretty easily.

And was 5500 the last place I would be is here reading ur post.. they probably go into everyone's posts and talk trash becuz they have no home life and what they do have is a shitty one... I guess their moms basement is so cold it keeps them up at night so besides of all of them being gods at destiny they have extra time to trash talk other people.. someone once said people reflect what's on the inside with what comes out their mouth. If trash is all they talk then they are trash themselves... good luck on ur grind. I hope they fix this issue soon .. I would like to get the not forgotten and not play comp again.. there is no reason to if u have nf.

5 RepliesEdited by Lu-Gi-Ah: 10/23/2019 3:27:33 PMYep, that's me as well. I'm at my "true skill" rank and my point gains and losses have normalized. Except for me, my win rate is at best 50%. Win one game, gain 40 points, lose the next game, lose 68 points. So I literally cannot progress.

2 RepliesIt is more than fair this season. Easier than it has ever been actually. I also heard that you do not always lose 60 points a loss if you perform well but I’m not sure. I’ve heard of people losing a smaller amount of points when they lost, but they performed well.

8 RepliesIf you're playing at higher ranks, this is a non-issue. Bungie specifically stated in one of their TWAB's a before Shadowkeep that the system would keep track of play and place you accordingly. once you got to that rank, you would be gaining and losing points similarly to before the changes in Shadowkeep. Your complaints tell me that you are likely playing around your determined skill level. If you want to gain points from this point forward, you should probably either look for a team and try and help either each other learn and get better, OR, stick it out and learn by yourself. Perhaps even try and arrange games against teams better than you to learn. TL;DR Point loss and point gain normalizes once the game has determined that your current points are on par with your determined skill level.
