Warlocks, where are their buffs
Seriously we are the “balanced” character but really we are the character nobody uses now because every other character can do the same job but better

Hunters on console have been a must class at the highest level mmr pvp matches for over 5 years.... Why? Their Jump + console FoV alone shits on anything else... Your post wont do shit...the fundementals of this game have already been set. As long as the jump mechanics stay the same..hunters will ALWAYS be dominant. And this is WITHOUT taking exotics into consideration. It would take a broken exotic such as OEM to balance the odds. Look at poor warlocks their neutral game jump + shit class abillity at high level + and lack of game changing exotics are why they are where they are = dead at high mmr games. The advantage of their jump shits on any other class, now add their dodge to it and MULITPLE scenario's in pvp like lane peeking...ONLY a hunter will survive by simply pressing two buttons and dodging behind cover. In ANY "i have to win" scenario..i rather play a baby hunter without a single exotic armor piece or build....than a fully geared warlock or titan.. Their jump and dodge are that much of a game changer..

Just yesterday I was on twilight gap in iron banner and right off the start my whole team goes to cap the first zone probably all doing the quest and buddy comes in tosses one grenade and dips kills us all (6 guardians) without even being seen... sounds like the best abilities to me.

Warlocks are fine for the most part. Just fix our melee and give voidwalker a little buff. Pretty much all we need

I used my warlock only on pve because pvp feels like a drag to use my warlock compared to my hunter. My hunter always stuck to pvp since I felt hunters weren’t all that great on pve at least until recently that nightstalker finally has the power to one shot. My god that buff was needed years ago and it has totally changed how I view hunters on pve, I feel terrible using my warlock on pve now because I feel night stalker just brings more to the table. Sure rifts are good at staying alive but with nightstaker I can just go invisible and get out of trouble easily which gives me time to regen my health every time, tethers with the exotic are still an amazing option to have and with bad juju I spam that thing as much as I possibly can. Warlocks need some buffs, mostly with the animations. Warlocks have slower melee, same range as other classes, warlocks have an extremely slow animation when placing rifts, warlock jump has always been the worse jump of all classes and is extremely clunky, exotics are usually all passive and barely anything that truly changes the class compared to the other classes. Ive mained warlock for 5 years now and I feel my hunter is just so much more fun and engaging on both pve and pvp.

Honestly, Warlocks look to be in a pretty good spot. Good damage and utility for PvE and some rough abilities to deal with in PvP

12 RepliesBut Warlocks are still good? Hunters are the weakest in PvE now, Warlocks are the worst in PvP though I agree. When Striker gets needed though I would place Titan last however, I don’t think OEM is enough to save it

The gameplay is so reduced. It has the ugliest end game gears, and is clearly not useful now that tether is useless in this dlc. The golden gun, even one shot, is trash. So all they have left is arc and void (sorry I mean cheap invis and smoke play style). Sure warlock exotics aren’t as good as before and we can’t use the solar doctrine, but I’m more annoyed not to be able to use the solar doctrine on my Titan and hunter than on my warlock. For all these reasons, it seems to me that you didn’t do well with it and are blaming the class instead of yourself.

Warlock melee speed for one. Axion Bolt and Scatter grenades for PvP.
