I wouldn't mine it as much if it wasn't a generic stomp for every boss. If an ogre backhanded me when i got too close and launched me away, i'd be fine with that, because i could get behind it and deal some damage before it turns and flings me across an arena.

Agreed, it could be the same effect with a different visual mechanic. Backhand, kick, energy pulse, fist pound, etc.. Something to make bosses unique.
