I am someone who just recently got more into Destiny 2, I've played off and on since Launch but never for very long and I don't have a lot of friends that play so I'm just in a Clan with a couple RL friends and my wife. I was wondering if anyone actually queue's up as a guide for the older raids such as Last Wish, Crown of Sorrows, etc. in Guided Games? I wanted to try and get some of the armor and weapons from the older raids as I like the looks of them plus some of them are still useful from what I hear but every time I have queue'd up for them, I stay in queue for about 45 mins and then give up because no progress is made in the matchmaking, is this just something nobody uses and I'm out of luck as far as doing these things, or am I just missing some good time window here folks are doing it?
Thanks for any info.

I doubt many people are doing guided games for raids, because it’s almost universally agreed that lfg, despite how bad it may seem, is a much better alternative. I used to to guided games with an old clan to help people in the raid, and it was very hit or miss. Sometimes we got someone who didn’t speak english, sometimes someone who didn’t have a mic, or someone who knew nothing of the raid and didn’t have a mic or speak english, sometimes afk people...

I haven’t used “the100” site lately, but I did back in the day with great success. After you select a date and time and get a full fire team. Arrive early, set up game chats, and pay attention to messages. Also, be very clear about your experience or lack thereof. Trust me they don’t care if it’s your first time, just don’t lie about it. Do yourself a favor watch raid guides before hand, this will increase your chances of completion. Just be sure to be on time and respectful to the Sherpa (definitely request at least one of those).

Edited by More Power: 10/17/2019 4:36:06 PMI don't know about any of the newer D2 raids, but the first ones in D2 required every member of the six member team to know the 14 step choreography, or everyone failed. Stupid stuff. Consequently, it's impossible to take noobs through who don't know the dance steps. That dissolved our clan. In D1, decent teams of 4-5 could always take a complete noob through every raid. That's how it should be. That's how to build a clan, keep a clan together, and have a great time.

1 ReplyNo one really uses Guided Games. It was a failed experiment honestly. You’re better off finding people with the app or other places.

Guided games is a massively flawed system, all the raiders I know refuse to touch it. You'd be much better off trying the LFG sources.

I use to do a ton of lw guided games but since the new DLC we haven't touched guided games but my clan will be doing raid help soon.

I haven't raided since D1, most of my clan has disappeared over the last couple years of D2. I'm on Xbox, so anyone interested in going and learning the new raids I'm down. Honestly thinking about changing clans. I've thought about guided games, I've heard of the wait times being quite long.

I don't think anyone has ever used used the guide system. I would suggest using the forums or the lfg on the app to get those done. If you're ps4 I have no problem running them with you guys
