Alright, before you attack me and think that I'm salty because I get killed by it all the time, consider what truly makes and encounter entertaining and how a crucible match actually plays out (specifically comp).
Shoulder charge is an insta-kill tracking melee lunge. Once you see the titan charging at you, there is a good chance you are going to be dead without taking out his shield. It's an easy kill that is granted because Titans are able to sprint and press melee. Hunters and Warock don't have an ability that can one tap another player in crucible, so why do titans get this cheap trick?
I think something that makes it worse is some of the exotics that fully recharge your one tap charge upon getting a kill with a one tap shoulder charge. It's borderline broken in pvp.
I'm fine with the charge being in the game, I just don't think it should be a one hit considering it doesn't take much effort and I wouldn't say it's "Out classing" your opponent either. The only class abilities that should be an insta-kill are supers.
But leave a response because I'm curious about what others think about it.

And for all of you claiming shoulder chargers are so easy to defeat, you're out of your mind. Just be quiet. One hit kill moves for anyone, throwing knives and hand held, all need to go

3 RepliesAnyone else tired of hunter mains crying for nerfs?

It should stay the same, before it was buffed to its current state it was actually punishing to shoulder charge a target. In your animation players could melee you twice to your one and kill you. It was better to just double melee or shoot then melee than to shoulder charge in its old state. As long as shotguns and fusions rifles stay the way they are then shoulder charge has a counter, and most of no every player runs one in pvp so I think it’s okay. It’s only really effective against unaware targets or players who can’t react fast enough or don’t have a shotty out when going around the corner with red on their radar.
-
It didn’t kill in one hit in D2 Vanilla for a while. It basically became a suicide/trade button, so everyone stopped playing Titan. Let’s not gut Titans like that
-
Melee hit registration only works a 3rd of the time how about they fix that instead of nerfing it

Yeah it should

1 ReplyEdited by zJDz: 10/18/2019 2:05:55 AMHunter main. It wasn’t a 1 hit kill when d1 lunched. Everyone Mained Hunter for the first year. Why don’t you ply on your titan and see how easy it is to get a shoulder charge kill.
-
Its worthless if its not one hit. You have to be running to make it work, its not like a normal punch where you just stand there.

2 RepliesIt’s tracking needs to be turned down

just remove it

7 RepliesHonestly If a buff boi running at 20 MPH at you that tackles you with his shoulder can kill then I think a throwing knife to the face THAT EXPLODES should kill too
-
Nope it should stay the same . Thanks
-
I feel it should stay the same. As a Hunter main (hate that phrase), we have dodge which is ridiculous in PvP if used correctly. Shouldn't all classes by your opinion have dodge as well? Each class has different advantages/disadvantages, if you get killed by Shoulder Charge, fair play to the Titan! The risk far out weighs the reward for Shoulder Charge.

Edited by Look Out! It's Deputy Dan!: 10/17/2019 2:04:42 PMI do not like being one hit considering that a perfect throwing knife doesn’t even come close to what shoulder charge can do. They need to change how it’s used, one-hitting is fine if they made it to where it’s a serious cost to use. if you charged nothing in order to dodge something then it should consume your melee ability. Also if you get shot enough while running it should cancel the shoulder charge and should have a wayyyyyy longer cooldown

1 ReplyIt's the cheapest move in the game that every class should have a version of.
-
I have zero problems with it. Sure I’d like my hunter to have something similar but for every shoulder charging titan I have an Erentil with their name on it. It is quite fun to see a titan running straight at you and just vaporize him. I figure if I get caught by it, it’s a great play on their part and I wasn’t paying attention.

3 RepliesI find it fun when I jump way over a Titan and get shield bash vertically.

Yeet, Penis poll. And nah, its fine.
-
Penis poll. Keep it as a one hit. It was ass in D2Y1 exactly because it wasn’t a one hit. One needs changed is the auto aim needs toned down. Right now it’s basically an I win button if you’re sprinting around a corner and someone is even vaguely in front of you.
-
Then what would be the point? We already did this Y1 and it was useless.
-
I think it should stay a one shot but it shouldn’t be as easy to use. For example all you need to do is sprint for a very short distance or even just sprint into a wall (to camp corners) and you’ll get your shoulder charge very quick. Just changing shoulder charge so you had to sprint for a more considerable amount of time would balance it out greatly. But what if that’s not enough? Well then you can remove or tone down the tracking. So no longer can a titan shoulder charge at a 90° angle to hit you after you made the mistake of trying to jump over him. No, the tracking shouldn’t be that strong and combined with my first suggestion would make shoulder charge balanced with the other melee abilities.

I’m a titan and I 100% agree. It should either just get a decrease in damage or heavily nerf the insane lock on it has.
