From what I've been hearing, Bungie really screwed the pooch on the new light experience with new and returning players. They apparently cut out all the integral parts of the D2 introduction and left an empty desert of an experience with no real direction that new players are just dropping out of out of pure confusion.
Another Bungie failed experiment.

I hear ya. I’m new and still trying to figure everything out. I like the game but there is no real directions. Just wandering around in space killing stuff with my bow. Just wish there was something more instead of a sink or swim feeling.
