At least reskin in some D1 weapons.
Edit: Wow, got a lot of hits on this one! So I’m not the only one confused by this decision.

1 ReplyBecause they can. There's enough brown nosed fanboys out there screaming bungos praises that bungo gets the idea that this crappy dev style is okay.
-
6 RepliesWhere are the bungie defenders on this issue, like Kelly, their silence is deafening
-
Because laziness. That's why. Plain and simple.
-
5 RepliesEdited by Malygos: 10/16/2019 5:32:04 AMBecause they are raking in money from people buying the season pass and $10 of silver for ornaments at a time why spend any of that money when people have proven they will give you money for almost no content. Darkness, how, curse, warmind, annual pass just lol that one was and now shadowkeep All of these cost the same or more as one of the witcher 3’s expansions take out the repetitive grinding maybe 5-10 hours of content and in the $20 expansions the -blam!-ing story was an hour long lol

"Content is hard" bungie
-
They could add a 540 kinetic pulse and...what else? A couple of machine guns maybe. What archetypes don't we have random rolls for? Oh, maybe a kinetic omolon sidearm.
-
Edited by DeathPony07: 10/17/2019 9:08:49 PMBecause content is hard. ☹️

It would have been cool, but the one side of this argument is "why are there no new weapons", and the other side of it is "Bungie, you're all lazy for giving us a bunch of reskinned garbage". No matter what Bungie does, one part of the community wont be happy. Might as well make the decision that costs the least amount of time and resources.

10 Replies"I want!" "I want!" "I want!" "I want!" "I want!" That's all this community is, 24/7.
-
Because most would be useless, like the previous IB weapons.
-
you know that you have access to eververse from your menu now?
-
3 RepliesLuke Smith, sept 2019: "I could imagine at some point taking a look at weapons, but that's pretty far down the road. I think there's some stuff that we're going to continue to improve about weapons. We want certain weapons from certain activities to feel more special, but there's not an active like 'Let's overhaul weapons!' Nope, those are good. Let's figure out what the emotion we want players to feel with their items and figure out the right thing to do with weapons once we have that answer." Just in case you want to act like you’re surprised.

“Content that isn’t monetized is hard” -Bungie

2 RepliesIf there were new weapons, you'd be complaining still. So what does it matter?
-
It’s funny that they showed off an iron banner sword when D2 was being shown at E3 2016
-
Because of Eververse, Bungie wanted a cash grab. If they created actual loot to chase they wouldn't have made the money they have so far removing any possibility of anyone getting sold items to drop-in activities or engrams and that includes using bright dust. It's more than obvious just looking at how even the new raid has hand me downs from Tess.
-
5 RepliesThe new strikes don't have exclusive nightfall loot either. Bungie just sold a giant qol update packaged as a yearly expansion
-
the iron Banner has always been trash. The Crucible has always been trash. please look into the "sunk cost fallacy"
-
Or armour
-
Because they got lazy.
-
Their time and money focused on NetEase game hence no IB weapons no trials no factions no vendor refresh etc.
-
Rise of Iron had some pretty cool designs.. But nah. Eververse. Buy silver and be quiet, noob. I speed run Tess Everis, flawless, no exploits. Get on my level. ✊
-
Too busy making new garbage for eververse.

8 RepliesIm still trying to figure out how I can be so involved in this game, and not recommend it to anyone..?

Lost on one of cayde’s chest somewhere in the galaxy

2 RepliesThat would have been amazing actually. Final round efrideet spear. A shotpackage felwinters lie. Special perks only available on iron Banner weapons. Final round snipers would just make the sweaties rage. I would LOL for days
