I am SICK TO DEATH of being told how to play/what gear to use.
I play middle-tree Striker Titan, I use Bygones, IKELOS shotgun and Thunderlord. I run Year-One Iron Banner armor with the Armamentarium.
That's what I LIKE!
I DON'T WANT TO USE SMGs AND FUSION RIFLES.

And you people have the AUDACITY TO LOCK IRON BANNER ENGRAMS BEHIND QUEST STEPS WHICH FORCE ME TO USE CRAP THAT I DON'T LIKE/WANT.
This shit's getting old. No, this shit got old over a year ago.
It's gonna be a beautiful blamming day when you stop catering EXCLUSIVELY to the vocal minority of players who want everything to be a long, drawn-out tedious mind-numbing grindfest.

Trust me dude. I hated doing the quest line too. Pulse's are not my forte. I still use Telesto and meme on people so that part was easy. Once i hit the submachine gun part I just went back to using my normal loadout of Recluse and Revoker. God i love the Revoker. Such a good sniper

I mean, I just like to mix it up. Maybe it's a me thing, but I can't stand to use the same thing, unless it's for consistency (like when I play comp). But when I play crucible, I find that it's more fun to switch gear often, and do dumb stuff. Both because I have fun and I already do extremely well as it is and it provides a challenge. Give using different weapons a try, you might actually find something else you like using. I'm not going to try and tell you you're wrong for wanting to stick with preferred weapons though.

Personally I hate pulse rifles with a passion. Can’t use em to save my life for some reason, give me a bow though I can kill some people.

And if you like to run what you like to run, then run that and don’t worry about getting all the new guns since none of the guns you mentioned are iron banner guns. You want a quest... to obtain things that you don’t want to get ... to change for you

Surprised that any job would hire such an angry sounding person but aside from that, seriously? It obviously wasn’t enough for Bungie to do what they can when being bombarded by a bunch of salts who want guns nerfed because they get killed by them. But you are -blam!- about a quest where you have to do something that for once doesnt include running around with just a shotty to rack up kills, but actually makes you use weapons you that might be out of your comfort zone. Sorry prince(ess) but I don’t know how much more shit you want handed to you just like that. I may be the one who is told to GET BENT, but at least I know I’m not the person who needs to -blam!- and complain on the forum about every single aspect of a video game and if it’s that stressful than don’t play 😁😁

Complaining won't get you anywhere except a lot of people knowing you hate changing your loadout, or hardcore players calling you a casual whiner. You know what I do when I see a quest I don't want to do (this entire Iron Banner quest)? I don't do it. Not because I don't want to change...I already use everything it's asking me to use. I just don't want to play Iron Banner. I do agree for the most part. I think the quest should be X amount of kills with this OR this OR this OR this...etc. So you can use what you want and still get the quest done.

2 RepliesIt's good to break up the routine. Just like you switched over to Code of the Missile from original Fist of Havoc Super. You had to step out of your comfort zone. Sometimes we need a little incentive or push to try new things. It's okay if you don't but don't get angry about Bungie trying to get players to explore new ways of playing the game.

Well if it’s not a long drawn out process everyone finishes it in a day and then -blam!- anyway. The community has put bungie in a lose lose situation so of corse there going with the more lucrative option.

Umm bruh... not only does just about every RPG have quests such as “use this weapon or this magic to kill 5 blah blah” but also almost every shooter these days has something along those lines. To unlock a certain skin in a Battle Royale game “go kill 5 people with ARs, 10 people with SMGs, 2 people with grenades, and kill a player while landing in blah blah spot”. It’s present in almost every game so get used to it I guess.

all it has done is force me to play with weapon types that i suck with when using. not that i'm great to begin with, but i get stomped when using fusion and or SMGs. so this is beneficial to those players who are going against me...
