Randy's throwing knife vs. black scorpion
Bungie. Randy's throwing knife as a range of 40 with a range master work. That's terrible. Black scorpion can get better than that. Plz get rid of extended mag and replace it with accurized rounds. We don't need 1-2 extra bullets, if someone really wants that they will equip a back up mag. U are requiring 14,000 medals and kills for this weapon. We are not asking for a pinnacle perk, we just don't want a trash/waste of a perk. U said this will have unique perk combos. Black scorpion with full bore (giving black scorpion 1 less stability than Randy's), accurized rounds, Zen moment and rampage gives 53 range without masterwork 63 with, and gives the same stability/damage as Randy's, plus u could put a rampage mod on it. Ur asking for alot in this quest for a weapon that a better version can be given from the gunsmith. Plz makes this weapon worth the time.

Just got it, I had no idea it was full-auto before. With rapid-hit, kill-clip and Targeting Adjuster it is a beast I'm surprised t is as good as it is TBH

1 ReplyI’ve had Randy’s throwing knife for about 2 weeks and I have around 720 kills with it already. The kill counter is going up at fast as my Recluse was when I first got it. I honestly think it’s a absolute beast.

2 RepliesRandy’s is the only kinetic rapid fire scout, plus it feels nice with no recoil. (I’m a controller player). Rapid hit can make your reload feel really fast. I would recommend anyone to pick it up and not just for the “undying” title. The gun feels pretty nice even with the low handling.

It’s the only rapid fire in the kinetic slot I’m pretty sure. So if you wanna use a special weapon in the energy slot you can do that. It’s kinda the one thing that would even make me wanna get the gun.

13 RepliesJust going to throw this out there, Range is a non-factor for Scout Rifles. Zoom is the unseen hand at work here, the best way of describing it simply is that higher zoom multiplies your range by more. It's why a Hand Cannon with 90 Range would have less effective Range than a Scout Rifle with 30. In Randy's case, it doesn't change the fact that Extended Mag is a wasted perk slot, but Rapid Hit and Kill Clip are more than a worthwhile trade-off for lower stats, considering the best possible roll on Black Scorpion is probably Zen Moment/Rampage.

The 14 000 medals is just insane, i make good games that makes progress the bounty with less than 1%. I stayed at 76% in 3 games... The weapons may be good, but it will never fulfil my expectation after such bounty, even if the weapons only had good perks.

I agree extended mag is a dud perk. Accurized or high cals for sure would better highlight this gun as a " ritual " reward.

Maybe it’s because I play crucible almost exclusively now days but I didn’t have a problem with the medals, before I even decided to grind for the quest my medals were already completed. The thing that took me the longest to complete was the final blows.
