How can I add friends in game with Steam? The
Does anyone know how to add friends in game? The friend request button does not work for some reason. I have every setting I can find set to open. I also haven't received a single friend request in game since the launch of Shadowkeep. I used to get them all the time from being 1st in most Crucible matches. How can I quickly add new friends to people I see in Crucible or the open world?
None of my friends migrated over from Battlenet. It's been sort of a nightmare getting anyone added.

2 RepliesI can't speak to the Send Friend Request feature in-game as I actually haven't used that yet since Shadowkeep came out. However, all your friends are still on Battle.net, or should be, so this is what I recommend that you do in the mean time. Message your friends and send them your friend code, or request that they send you their friend code. The friend code is found on the Add Friend page on Steam (app and website). There is also a quick invite link you can send to people. This should allow you to get rebuild your friends list somewhat quickly. As for the in-game Send Friend Request feature, it may be bringing up their profile inside of the Steam overlay. Try using shift-tab to bring up the overlay, and see if their profile is on screen. If you've rebound the overlay key combination, use whatever you have set it to. If you've disabled the overlay, this may be why you aren't seeing anything when you click on Send Friend Request.
