"Verify Integrity of Game Files"

About an hour of gameplay and then my game crashes and I am told to "verify integrity of game files". I do so and then another hour after booting up the game, game crashes and again I am told to "verify integrity of game files". I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling but I still keep getting this issue. Please help.

  • I'm having this same problem - I've tried all the fixes I've seen and it still only lets me play for anywhere between 30-90 mins before crashing and giving this same error. It only started a few days ago.

  • Same thing here. It's not quite as bad as once an hour, but it does happen way too often, usually during a transition of some sort (loading map, moving zones in a map)

  • I'm getting this exact same issue.... I really hope Bungie fixes it soon. I'm contemplating a refund at the moment because it's not possible to Raid or do certain quests with friends like this.

  • i also have this issue. Most of the time if I verify before I start the game it's ok, but on occasion, this has no effect. Really frustrating.

  • hey mate you ain't the only one who has this problem. i would like to know what the hell is with this problem. i also have the same situation in which after 30 minutes or 1 hour of playing a campaign or a side mission my game just crashes and says "Verify Integrity of Game Files". i have done this by Right clicking on destiny 2 and checking it by pressing " Verify " this more times than i can count which is really making life hell for me considering this game is really good. So Bungie my question is what is this problem?

  • Same here, except mine is right after loading in so I can't play at all. It's been working fine since launch so I don't know what's up with this. Only thing I can think that might be affecting it is that I did go out and play for a little bit on my Xbox for the first time since setting up cross save, so I don't know if it's something to do with the cross save that is screwing it up now.
