Apologies as well. I seemed to have been on a rage streak with this post’s chat. I think that sometimes yes heavy can be annoying but like (at least from my perspective during most of my pvp played) is that 1. People aren’t actually going for heavy as sweaty and as often as most people claim 2. People tend to die trying to get heavy quit often and then the people who loot the dropped heavy also die and the heavy disappears and 3. Lots of heavy ammo crates down in various sized spaces (not all not most just a decent amount) giving you the ability to just pick someone off as they try to grab it. Yes I know that doesn’t answer the heavy weapons met you but that can be explained simply in the name of the tier. Once again I could be wrong, plus my experiences are not the same as everyone and if many people are in fact complaining about heavy ammo maybe it is that big of a problem. (Also good luck reading all this 👍)

  • It's all cool. Threads like these will do that and I should've been more specific on my part. I didn't see Heavy being as problematic in Crucible even before the changes, but that was just my experiences and I don't PvP too much myself. In Gambit though, it just seems that everyone has some amount of Heavy on them at all times. While that wouldn't be too bad on paper since it's more PvE oriented, in practice it's problematic because you don't lose heavy on death (correct me if I'm wrong though) in addition to ads being able to drop it. Mods enhancing heavy pickup doesn't help either. I believe that part of heavy being so problematic is also due to the frequency of invasions, though it's to a lesser extent. In some games invading is just way too common, and invaders will generally try to prioritize using heavy before anything else so people may be seeing it as being used more than it actually is. Still, imo I believe that in terms of direct issues with heavy, drops should be less frequent or dying should drop some of your heavy ammo; whether other players should be able to pick up the lost ammo or not can be up for debate. The latter may be more reasonable tbh since it's more risk-reward like in the Crucible and it doesn't directly effect heavy generation. That's just my thoughts on what should be done. I'm no expert on what would work best as I don't have enough PvP experience or knowledge on the matter.
