The armor is perfectly fine. The problem is stupid players who want everything in the game to be dumbed down to their level.

Needless hurdles like elemental affinities are not "dumbing down" the game. You know how long it took to explain how armor 2.0 works to my friends who are more casual? A lot longer than just saying "you get an armor piece and it had perks, take it or leave it."
