Day 10 Steam move error - Bungie's TWAB: Just keep trying!

I'm sorry but it's been 10 days and there has been no other response from Bungie aside from, "we're investigating... keep trying to migrate" and "you need to make a new Steam account" in relation to the PC migration errors (either caused by a miss-link of an incorrect Blizz account or some other glitch).   • I’m just here to add we’re on day 14 and still no fix. I have submitted a ticket request and received and email that they’ll look into it(condensed version of the email) so I’ll wait...and see if they can actually address this. The app still shows my hunter and gear. I check a few times a day, every day lol

  • I agree - this is ridiculous... I have been working with Bungie / Blizzard / Steam to get my account transferred and all I have gotten is BS from each with nothing but finger pointing. Blizzard migration now states that I have to create a new steam account to "transfer your purchases" over to Steam. My current steam account has 49 game licenses attached and 12 years of service. Steam simply replied with "we are unable to merge or transfer accounts, sorry for the incontinence" so I am screwed. My thought is that I will end up with two failed attempts and have to go thru deleting a useless and completely unnecessary steam account yet again. Go figure.

      I hate to say it man but I think this very well could be the end of the road for this. The only way I see this changing in our favor would be several gaming news sites reporting on the issue and basically putting Bungie on blast for this, which is why I've tried e-mailing several editors for help. To be honest everyone else should be doing the same. I'm just one person, but if editors start receiving several e-mails regarding this issue from different people, maybe they will take notice. Bungie adjusted the errors for a reason. They want all of you to start a new Steam account and transfer, this is the easiest solution for them to implement. This is a total win for them and a complete loss for us no matter how you cut it. This is the most anti consumer thing I have seen from a company this size in quite a long time. I foresee the next TWAB or possibly the one after it to mention nothing about PC Migration problems. This is what Bungie wants at this point, their update to the PC Move tool telling us to create a new Steam account is proof of that. I truly believe this is the last stand. Either we raise hell on social media, reach out for help from gaming news sites and put Bungie on blast, or this issue will be swept under the rug and Bungie will go on like nothing even happened. Just a reminder. Please, if any of you decide to reach out to editors or anyone in the gaming media, be courteous and kind. Yes this is frustrating for all of us, but this is not their fault, we are simply seeking their help to get this issue out in the open. Remember, be kind and courteous in all of your emails or interactions on social media.

        Agreed! I can't try again. Now I can re-try the transfer but lo and behold my battle.net account says there are no characters associated with it. So what good would it do anyway? [url]https://imgur.com/ZqS2UA6[/url] There has to be some way that we can escalate this. It is ridiculous. And no. I'm not making another steam account. I have had mine since 2004. I have Over 800 games on it, and I'm not starting a new one for something that happened when I transferred in August like they instructed me to. It's NOT my problem. It's theirs.         • I urge everyone affected to just refund shadowkeep. Hit 'em where it hurts - their wallet. Refund Shadowkeep, get your money back. Make a new steam account if you really want to play. Bungie aint fixing this anytime soon, it seems.

          • Hey guys, just wanted to give an update. So I’ve been in the same boat as everyone posting on here. I did migration back in August when it came out. Preordered shadow keep on August 24th, and waited patiently for October 1st. Game came out, and bam no character transferred over. Checked Twitter and these forums countless times a day waiting and hoping for a fix to what seems to be an easy fix. Last night I said screw it and asked steam for a refund. Explained what’s going on and how upset I am with the absolute terrible customer service with Bungie and waited. Within a few hours I had my refund approved. I created a new steam account and tried migration again and within less than 5 minutes I have all of my stuff back just like im supposed too. My plan now is to wait for my refund to post and then buy Shadowkeep on my old account and gift it to my new account. I realize this so called “fix” isn’t right and is completely ridiculous that because of a glitch or a mistake now everyone has to suffer and it would seem that the company behind it doesn’t care and won’t do anything to lift a finger to change it or at least keep us updated. However, I wanted to share my experience and tell y’all that it worked for me. I don’t play a lot of multiple games and I tend to stick to one, that one for me is Destiny 2. I don’t play as much as I want to but that’s life. I’m disgusted with the lack of care from bungie and the absolute trash customer support. I hope that a fix does come for everyone and you all continue to play but I understand the outcry of so many wanting to leave and never look back.             • What i find bull about the whole situation is the fact i made a post about how it says while transferring my account it tells me on the first confirmation my character will be transferred i click continue and the next page tells me that my character will not be there. The post i made was Deleted the next day for some reason which goes to show me that Bungie has turned there backs on the situation and they will never solve it. It saddens me that they won't make effort to solve an issue that was cause by them for making the move.

            • Checking in. Yep. There's a new transfer pattern now. I can go to Pc Move, I see my real account with all my licenses and my Characters. I click through to link, I get a second summery of my account that shows all my licenses but now says the account has no characters, click through to continue migrations just because I'm -blam!-ing tired of this at this point, type in "I agree to transfer"... and get an error that sends me to account linking to unlink steam. I unlink steam and repeat everything for the exact same effect. The handling of this has been so abysmal that at this point I don't just want a solution, I want some kind of compensation from Bungie.

            • I don't think Bungie developers will ever dignify themselves to publish a proper statement regarding this issue. Or assure us that they will fix it somehow. Remember the Destiny 2 PC launch problems? Or how Bungie treated the whole xp reduction at lvl20 controversy before major gaming news outlets started covering it?

            • Having BNGHelp* reply to threads with the same message is not helping, in fact, it's just making things worse by leaving us even more upset. If Bungie doesn't want to reply to every single thread about this issue, just make a thread talking about the issue and give us a bit more information about what they have found and some assurance that we will keep our characters, accounts, items, and purchases from battle.net. At this point, I don't want to give up just yet and other players are also on the same boat. Give us something so we can wait patiently and all these threads about PCMove problems stop.

            • Sadly, I dont believe Bungie will make an in depth thread for this. It would look so much worse, to them, to come out and say that after a 2 week delay to ensure a "smooth launch", to make more public that THEY screwed up and left a good number of us out to dry with no answers. It's a PR nightmare for them to openly acknowledge it. Especially after the last week and a half of poor service to the player base. That whole TWAB and we get a sentence or two basically saying, "tough luck. Just start a new steam account or dont play". And NOBODY aside from those affected are talking about this.

                • This is clear and undeniable proof of the streamer love for this game. All the streamers and youtubers didn't have a single problem. They all got in scott free. Regular players that work real jobs and can't become an influencer? Left out to dry, with a tiny little response from Bungie saying its YOUR fault. Yeah guys, it is YOUR FAULT. You're not a streamer! You're not a Youtuber. You're not a Destiny 2 influencer! If you had just sold your soul to Bungie and streamed their game 24/7 maybe then you woulda gotten a smooth ride. It's pathetic. You would never in a million years see a streamer have this much issue. They wouldn't allow players like Datto or Gladd to EVER have issues like these, it would be a complete disaster. Not a disaster as long as their revenue made it across in one piece. F u c k everybody and everything else.

                  • I Just finally got cross save to work to be able to continue the cross save process i had to link both the account i wanted to cross save with and my xbox account which has no destiny or destiny 2 or bungie content connected to it what so ever.
