That game wasn't made to be played "just to play". It's filled with mechanics that drive you into a specific mindset of getting things done and not falling behind. Fear of missing out, time-limited rewards and events, time-gating, feeling of competition, etc. And then there's grind and gazzillion of resources and limits to keep you busy for the sake of it. Compare this to Borderlands 1/2, for example. Nothing was pressing you there, at all. Play however you want, as much or as little as you want. Play a whole week long or only a day a month - you're not losing or gaining anything. These are kind of games that were made to be played just to play.

  • I think you just made his point. Every game is just that, a game. Meant for entertainment and fun. You play for the enjoyment. Some people feel it a job and have to have everything. It's not. You can walk away and come back and pick up right where you left off.

  • And it's people like you why I made this post, you just can't play and enjoy a game. There's always some reason to complain no matter what. If you can't put time into a game and have a good time doing it no matter how good or bad you might think it is, try a different game or get a new hobby.

  • That's what I said: try a different game.

  • It's not saying to quit like I see lots of other people do, but why play something if you think it's a chore or don't find it fun.

  • You think it's a rhetoric question meant to critizise people and give you an excuse to call them bad, but it's actually a legit one.
