So I'm going for the UNDYING title and thought it would be a nice PvE Grind considering its the Vex Offensive title (Vex Offensive being a PvE mode of course)
But as per usual again Bungie has tediously included PvP in this title for some ungodly reason, along with BLOODY GAMBIT.
For those of you who do not know, they replaced Pinnacle weapons with these 'Ritual' weapons in which you complete a quest for them to obtain them.
To obtain UNDYING title you need to obtain ALL 3 of these guns. Because the Vex play a huge part In Gambit and Crucible right?
Now you probably think I'm just being a moany -blam!- but I actually love a good grind. The LMG Vanguard Ritual weapon was a fun grind. But the fun stops there.
The Gambit SMG took a stupidly long time to earn and it's a pile of garbage! Why use that when The Recluse is in the game? Like seriously it's a complete waste of time.
But the main offender here is Randy's Throwing Knife. Oh my goodness this is a joke. Let's start with 300 scout kills. Ok sure! (That's why you see MIDAs everywhere)
But wait! You PvE guys love PvP right?! Let's make you get 2100 Glory points too! (Competitive rank)
But here's the killer. Earn Medals and Kills. Sounds easy enough right?
Wrong.
Try playing an entire Control match with an average of 30 to 40 kills and getting LESS THAN 1% PROGRESS.
Even dropping Two Gold medals in one match (Ghost and We Ran) including 39 kills and getting 1% progress.
As of this post, I've been sweating my butt off getting top score every game for two days now and I am only at 40% completion.
This gun isn't even a Pinnacle weapon and it's grind is harder than Recluse!
This quest like Mountaintop needs to be reduced because I'm a decent PvP player and i cannot even imagine the time needed for players who aren't very good but still want the Title.

It’s not just Randy’s what about wendigo, oxygen SR3, and vanguard machine gun, and more

4 RepliesPvE players complaining about grinding PvP will never, ever not be funny.

Honestly it's worth it , I got mine yesterday and I'm loving it

11 RepliesIt's actually 450 kills and you need to get the final blow. Also, 1 medal is 1 point, 1 bronze medal is 4 points and i'm not sure about the gold medals but i'm guessing 6-10 points. 1 kill is also 1 point, unless you get double kills which will reward you 4 points. You need 14.000 points. This quest is ridiculous and i'm really annoyed that this is the ONLY reason why i won't complete this seal. This issue needs to be addressed to Bungie, it needs to be reduced to 2000 points. How is this even close to *less in-depth* ??? I got the gambit weapon and the lmg in no time. Why do they always do this? Why should i miss out on this seal because they had to include such a inhumane amount of points? It makes me furious.

4 Replies1. You dont need to earn the gun right away. You have plenty of time to earn the gun 2. It is extremely easy to earn comp points this season. When on a 5 streak, you earn 350 points a game before 3500 glory.

It’s not a PvE title. It’s a seasonal title. Those ritual weapons are seasonal weapons. -

2 RepliesEdited by Zuper Greek: 10/9/2019 5:14:25 PMI got the medals before I did the scout kills. It's not that bad only took like 2 days for me. You don't have to use scouts for the medals btw.

Please understand this point is aimed at people who cannot play 6+ hours a day.

I've been enjoying this quest. The glory points were a cinch. I'm at 60 something % for kills and in the teens for medals. That was from two slow days of mixing it up with some gambit and strikes as well.
