Where are all the transmogs?
Why only the eververse sets? Where are the armor sets I unlocked through playtime? Where are the crucible, iron banner, factions, vanguard, dreaming city, open world, gambit, endgame and levelling sets? Why are these not transmogs?
What a let down.. Finally I thought: YES, I can look how I want when I want regardless of the gear I wear so I won't look like a trashcan with oversized shoulders. I can think of quite a few cool mixes from all that armour but no, it has to be cash shop only stuff.
FFS Bungie, get something right for a change.

It was only ever said that eververse item would be transmog. But rumour and speculation led many to believe it would be all other armour, not really Bungie fault there as much as I would like to say so.

4 RepliesI think this was intended as more of a test for transmog than actual transmog. Bungie tends to implement things simply first, and then make them more complex when they get a feel for how if will work.

2 RepliesFYI - "transmog" is short for Transmogrify ...which is technically Diablo terminology. Somehow it just became universal lingo ...but truthfully, Blizzard coined the term.

2 RepliesThat's not entirely accurate. My Warlock is currently wearing the Xenos Vale Vanguard armour set with the season 3 ornaments. So none Eververse armour ornaments can be applied to the new 2.0 gear. I know what you're getting at though and agree 100%. I was hoping to put the Anti Extinction Dead Orbit look back on my Hunter as I loved it during the first season, doesn't look I'm able to though which is a shame.

I also play Guild Wars 2 with the boyfriend where you have access to dozens of transmogs for every armor slot from any piece of armor you've ever picked up. I STILL spend on average $5-$10 a month on various helmet and other transmogs, wings, mount decoration, weapon stuff and all sorts of crap that shows up in the in game store. It's fun to feel like you look good, and since I'm obligated to run around and play the game with my significant other, I'm going to look good. These store bought looks are equal in quality to the regular drops, they just add critical variety when going for a certain theme. Variety is worth much, much more that rarity, let us count the ways. If you tell me that content like this is too difficult for a studio like Bungie to add then I'll immediately ask how the tiny studio called Arenanet manages to do it while still releasing gigantic expansions every 2 years or so. [spoiler]My sense of logos is calling violations over this, and that is a negative indicator when it comes to my strictly governed views of Destiny 2 and all related. I'd really like to continue to like the product.[/spoiler] Edit: The logos violation was from not understanding the production pathway for armors, armor skins and shader palettes, though I still fail to understand why more armors aren't available for transmog. This will not really effect my overall very positive opinion of Destiny 2, but it will continue to artificially degrade the variety I could have when customizing my armor.

It is a big let down that all my faction ornaments are not available for the ugly leaf armor in this season. I honestly got Shadowkeep because it seemed like they were going to let people transmog gear and such as advertised. It’s not the first time that Bungie has dropped the ball.

Half-ass transmog system, just like the half-ass clan system, the half-ass "guided games" matchmaking, the list goes on. Bungie is purely about money and so everything in these games will be the absolute bare minimum to keep stringing people along.

Plus most armor seems to have been updated to Armor 2.0 anyway so obtaining a majority of gear each particular person likes is possible. Granted there are some exceptions. The problem as I see it, again, is the rolls it comes with. Trying to find that right piece with a proper balance and/or boost to the ideal stats is proving somewhat difficult. Another year of grinding the same stuff to reacquire the same gear. Also a new reason to hope for exotics since they neutered old exotic armor to have virtually zero to zero Mobility, Resilience and Recovery too. Having said that I will admit it would be nice to see more options. Not to mention some of these Eververse sets I had Y1 but broke them down because of the atrocious rolls well in advance of Bungie announcing the collections book. Also if they're not going to do anything with Factions it would be nice to implement that gear as a transmog option. Regardless this is a nice feature and over time hopefully Bungie takes advantage of it and maybe even offer activities or ways to acquire new sets and/or pieces.

3 RepliesEdited by Wrakz: 10/10/2019 6:30:27 AMIt isn’t only Eververse. Go to collections and reacquire all old, non eververse armor ornaments. For example the season 2 crucible armor ornaments or the old iron banner ornaments. This also works for the Faction Ornaments or the Vanguard ones, not just competitive ornaments. Only difference is they don’t stay if you unlock them. You HAVE to have them in your inventory to transmog them. Once you transmog them, they go away out of your inventory and if you want to put it on a new armor piece you have to do this again. Edit: ALL armor should be transmog though...

9 RepliesIt's almost like, just like with every destiny release, bungie explicitly stated these things before launch and nobody payed attention. We already knew it was only going to be the eververse armor, if you were expecting something more that's on you for not keeping up with the news. You can, perhaps, say that you would like to see all armor turned into universal ornaments, as multiple others have already done, but you make it seem like you thought that it would be everything.

FFS Bungie, get something right for a change.[/quote] Certain armor ornaments you can pull from collections (example raid armor ornaments) and you can apply to new armor, it's not intended but it works
