I presently have an issue on 2 of my characters where my Essence of Despair quest (the essence that drops as "??????" from Crota nearing the completion of the first mission of Shadowkeep's Campain (Mission Name: A Mysterious Disturbance) will not progress further. I had this happen on my first character where the quest went to my postmaster as my quests & bounties were full. I first visited Eris following the first mission to progress the campaign further. I then completed a quick bounty I had at the time, and following that jumped to the Tower to grab the Essence quest (the "??????" one) from the Postmaster. The quest said to visit Eris, and I did, however the quest would not progress. I tried logging out and back in, no luck. Even went as far as fully quitting Steam to see if that would perhaps reset something, still no luck. I went on to complete SK's campaign with no issue (was able to obtain all of the Dreambane armor clearly) and yet this "??????" quest still remains. I am curious if anyone else has had the same issue (I mistakenly did this on 2 of my 3 characters, the 3rd had enough space thus no problem) and if this is known to Bungie, as I have not seen it appear yet on the Known Issues thread. If any further info is needed, or a solution is known, please reply to this thread!
