Hello, OffTopic. You probably know me as Rezyl Azzir (or Rezyl Spookzir or Rezyl Porchzir, depending on the holiday). If you’re one of my friends from school… what are you doing why are you reading this. As mentioned before, I want to explain why LEGO Marvel Super Heroes on the Nintendo 3DS is -blam!-ing terrible. Worst game I’ve ever played, and I’ve played a lot of games in the 9+ years I’ve been playing video games. Now, I love the game on Xbox 360, because it’s the only game I actively play on there, but I got it on the 3DS and chaos erupted inside of my home (mainly my brother and I, but there are like 2 people living here besides me so 2 people upset is a lot of people upset).
LEGO Marvel Super Heroes: Universe in Peril on the Nintendo 3DS followed no rules of the other LEGO Marvel games, or any of the LEGO games, or any of the LEGO games on the 3DS. It was a shitshow, needless to say. It was… oh god I need to stop before I just cry. It was a really heartbreaking experience for me. In this essay, I’m going to talk about my experience with the game, online reviews (since I know no one else besides my brother who actually played the game), and I will compare it to other games on other platforms. I told my school friends that this needs to be, at the very least, 10 pages. So, let’s start with a little background information if you have never played the game.
LEGO Marvel Super Heroes released on October 22, 2013. The game was pretty similar on most of the platforms— from PS3, Xbox 360, and PC, the only difference was the controls.
And then there was the -blam!-ing 3DS.
As I said before, the game broke most LEGO logic that previous games established. This is what I see LEGO logic as
1. 4 heart based system which when you die, you respawn and lose some coins
2. Split screen multiplayer (not counting this for this game because split screen isn’t on 3DS I don’t think)
3. Free play and a diverse character list, from the garbage man to the -blam!-ing Hulk
4. Puzzles that are easy but fun at the same time
Now, I didn’t get very far in this game, that I will admit, but during the time that I did play, I sucked at it. The game sucked. My brother sucked. Everyone sucked. It was terrible. But, this game was different. In a bad way, of course, but it’s stuck to me to this day for one reason…
But that’s for another time.

Edited by The Chosen One: 10/8/2019 1:20:45 AMThe first video game I ever played was Lego Star Wars: The complete Saga on ps3. Amazing game. I also enjoyed LOTRs, the hobbit, marvel superheroes, batman, batman 2, and pirates of the Caribbean. I absolutely hate the newer ones. ESPECIALLY The 3rd batman.

2 RepliesCan anyone actually recommend a good Lego game? Like besides undercover and star wars tot? Cause I'm hard pressed to think of a single game that isn't a buggy mess

Yeah the newer 3ds lego games are pretty garbage. Lego: The Hobbit on 3ds was shit too. You couldn’t even jump in that game...
