Idk if this is universal ? But since yesterday I know we have 50 plus players active right now but on steam no one in the clan is showing online? Friends only.. is there a solve for this that I missed?

It's now Feb/2021 and this is still not fixed. It's still an issue. One of the BungieHelp staff suggested it was old accounts that were not ported over. However I can see on my Bungie Clan roster a hand full of clan mates online on the bungie website. When I log into the game all the names but mine is grayed out, why Bungie? This is what's killing clans for everyone. Join a clan but you cannot see each other online :(.

Edited by Kurindrix: 11/19/2020 3:56:23 AMIt's been a year now. New Beyond Light DLC was released and this shit is still not fixed with Destiny 2 on Steam. I guess Bungie is not going to fix this huge issue and continue to ignore us. No response is a response! #steam #pcsupport #help #clan

a year later and this still persists
-
When is Bungie going to address or fix this problem? It has literally been broken since they switched over from Blizzard to Steam clients and has rendered the Clan roster essentially useless You cannot join or see anyone online in the Guild interface unless you are friends with them, which is a huge annoyance to get fixed. This needs to be addressed by Bungie in TWAB or something to give an ETA... its ridiculous at this point
-
Has bungie still not fixed this after 7 months? I still have this problem
-
I'm guessing this hasn't been resolved for everyone, yes? We're still having this issue in our clan.

Edited by Dark Warrior: 10/19/2019 7:18:39 PMDarthR2's workaround is a bit tricky and annoying to clan-admins, but it works by now, thanks a lot. Just hoping, since Steam injects input to the game this way, Bungie won't consider this way fishy, since it's the only clean solution, until they bring a working solution, which they already had and should have been along Shadowkeep-release already. To make Darth's solution clearer: 1.) You need to create a group on Steam and turn your clanmates to join/apply at Steam this group. 2.) Also they will have to set their Steam's profile at least to "Friends Only" instead of "Private" and the setting for game details to "Friends Only" as well. The rest can remain as "Private", if desired. Public profilers won't encounter issues at all, i guess. 3.) When you start Steam, you always will have to go to the tab with your name (last tab here) > groups > select your group and enter the chat there. Typed this here, since i had to search/read in the forums more than once, also this thread, to find his workaround. This "poll" will push the solution to an "easier-to-be-found"-state, Darth and his guys found the solution, i just refined the explaination. EDIT: 3.) We found out, once you entered the chat, you won't to have to do 3 as described, for as long, as you don't leave the chat but just close it with Steam. You can start the game, Shift + Tab it and start it from the bottom of your Steam-social-client from the group-array-shortcut. Turns it a bit more ergonomic.

yeah this is happening to me as well. I thought it was a privacy settings but theyre all good. This is weird. Is there a fix yet?
-
would love to have a fix for that too. i tought it was just the fact that i play in an us clan as eu player. maybe a region thing
-
21 RepliesHi. Thanks for your report. Can you see a list of clanmates, or does it not show a list at all?
-
Would also love to see this improved. I'm in a big clan and just to group up with a clan mate I have to friend them first, and then we can join each other. I don't want to have to add the entire clan to my Steam friends.

Edited by JuanTheTacoDealer: 10/4/2019 5:59:43 PMSame problem for my clan aswell, please fix really annoying
-
Same here, Bungie help!!!

Everyone on PC is affected, you have to be Steam friends for the game to show them as online. Hope they fix this soon, since, when combined with the crash when having more than 300 friends, you get people adding all their clanmates and then not being able to play.
-
Pretty sure all PC clans are affected by whatever is causing the problem.

Edited by Dinthead: 10/3/2019 4:03:21 PMThe clan page just outright doesn't work on PC for me. Here's the error code: eb41f50f-852b-40bb-be58-92eda0162f76 2019-10-03T16:02:34.154970Z 6465050406385634396

Same issue. You can see if they are online/offline, but no details/invite ect..... but you can see all that from other non clan lets say if you are in the tower or someone is in your fireteam, yet you are not steam friends. It just seems a bit silly you can see others but not clan and would be required to have each of them as a steam friend.....
-
You have to be Steam friends for them to show online.
-
Same with our clan.
