The platform (in this case steam) governs the policies on censorship.
I swear people will find the littlest things to get upset about.
There enough assholes on the internet to make companies have to install policies such as this.
People can’t be trusted to default to decency.

You know the resource you cited was not an official steam page so any information whether valid or not is questionable. I don’t have a figurative horse in this race so while I have empathy, it’s not a critical concern for me personally.

If you mean to question the validity of the screenshot, then I would urge you to follow the steps to recieve the very same message. Create a Steam ticket, and get told the same thing on a personal user basis. I'm not sure how it's questionable to you. Unless one would expect that I straight up made up all the information I've came across. Under the current context... there isn't anything to gain by doing that. To me it is clear that this is Bungie's fault, because from the people I've spoken to, and through going through this process myself: Steam says they have no hand in it. Also, Bungie had edited their post saying it was Steam's fault to accepting the fact that it was their problem. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/253740906?sort=0&page=0&path=1 They're not aware of the problem. If you won't accept that screenshot from Steam support as evidence because it's hosted on a site, (like Imgur image hosting), I don't know what else will convince you.

This isn't a little thing. I've fought long and hard to have this part of me recognized and it's frankly disgusting that people outside of this will make decisions that don't affect them but do affect me.

No offense, And I’m not minimizing your issue because I am of a “lane” of people who have had hundreds of years of oppression so I understand. Point I’m making is that the censorship has to do with Steam; that’s who you need to sound off to, not here.

He's just saying that coming here, on this forum, with such an issue will get you a lot of outrageous and "toxic" reactions vs only going to Steam, which seems to be the source of your issue anyway. That's what I understood.

I already told him I contacted steam as well, this is supposed to be the feedback area for destiny as I believed that was the cause at the time. After saying that, he then proceeded to give unsolicited advice so like, :/

It doesn't look like he was intentionally trying to minimize your cause. My takeaway, is that he (or she actually) was trying to warn you about the potential toxicity on this forum for such topics (hence saying "putting fuel on fire" ). Please don't be down about it.
