Can guardians procreate?
Can two guardians have a baby? What class would it be? Does it have to be with another guardian? Could you make a half-guardian with human/awoken/exo? Can you even have babies with meat and metal? What happens if a human breeds with an awoken? Do exos have a penis? Do Guardians even have a sexual drive?

Its why so many of the romantic relationships that Guardians have (that we've been told about in the lore) are gay relationships. People grouse and want to act as though its all because of "political correctness", but the truth is that such relationships allow the writers to DODGE that very simple (but very difficult) question you just asked. Because "straight" relationships won't allow you to do that. At somepoint---if the can procreate----someone is going to get pregnant. THEN.... You have to address some very complicated philsophical and religious issues with regard to the Traveler, The Light, the nature of Guardians.....and a I PROMISE you that a lot of people are going to wind up being offended by WHATEVER answer Bungie would give to those questions. Because you have now created a situation where (no matter how you try to finesse it) a Big White Ball in The Sky has the power of a god. Not only a god but THE GOD of most of the human race....and our Ghost routinely recreates the Greatest Miracle of the Christian faith. Even if you dont' consider the offending of the religious, answering such a question can catapult the writers into having to reveal and talk about MAJOR story spoilers. Long before they (probably) want to reveal what they have in mind. [i]The other questions are much simpler...and have already been answered. [/i] 1. Awoken are humans. They have simply been touched by BOTH the Light AND The Darkness. So there is not scientific reason why Humans and Awoken cannot conceive a child. Just like different breeds of dog can have puppies together. 2. Exos can't conceive because they are NOT biologically human. They are machnes that have had the consciousness of a human "transplanted" into them 3. Exos do have biological drives. They don't need them, but Clovis Bray found that keeping those drives intact was very helpful in getting people to accept the transformation from human to exo. From human body to mechanical body.

Woman most likely would not since their eggs are set and since most Guardians died and were resurrected long afterwards, those eggs would most likely become non viable. Men on the other hand, produces sperm their whole life, so there is a possibility for men.

8 RepliesI can’t speak to a guardians ability to make a baby but I can say with 98% certainty that the child would not be a guardian. Guardian is a title not a race or species. Guardians are what we call the risen who serve the Vanguard specifically. A human guardian is a human that has been selected by a ghost to receive the powers of the light and choose to use those powers for the Vanguard. So unless a newborn baby was then chosen by a ghost it wouldn’t have powers.

3 RepliesNo. They can obviously have sex, but pregnancy is terminated first res before the pregnancy is even known. Just like guardians don't shower. Ressurection assures constant freshness. I feel like this is obvious.
