Destiny has been the only game I have ever had random connection issues with. Just lagging out of games for no reason and just being sent to orbit, it's the most annoying thing.
I'm just venting because I have been lagged out of 2 comp games over the past week whilst trying to get my 2nd Legend. Not a lot of times, but both times have been on a good streak and lagging out has ruined my chances of Legend in the long run.
Fair enough if I lose a game legit, that doesn't annoy me (even against the absolute no lifes I played in my last last 2nd and 3rd games). Plus it's bad enough finding a team that is both consistent and legit. The amount of cheaters and kill lobby players that are up at Legend rank is ridiculous.
P2P is just so outdated now, I'm not shocked Bungie hasn't implemented it, they'd probably just pop it in the Eververse store for 10 million glimmer. I know a lot of people didn't play For Honor, but they abandoned their P2P for proper servers and its miles better now.

I’m not sure I’ve ever heard why they won’t go to dedicated servers.

1 ReplyCost will be the main factor. . It costs a lot money to house, run and maintain these servers. The cost would have to come back to the consumer and casual gamers just wouldn't be willing to invest that kind of money.

Hell they won’t even update regular vendors. Which takes less money. *Also having severs would put some of the internet connection problems on them. They’re not ready to own up yet.
