If you ever asked yourself if there is an "arrangement" between YouTubers and Bungie, you kinda find the answer all over YouTube.
Getting early access means you can also create a video before any one else. That leads to an exclusivity status that clearly will generate revenue. So imagine what would happen if a YouTuber loses that status?
Yepp, so how objective can they actually be? Not that much...

1 ReplyI’ve been avoiding YouTube like the plague. Bungie went from tease to full on reveal. I mean is there anything in Shadowkeep we dont know already? I appreciate transparency but not every detail of a new expansion needs spilled.
-
3 RepliesDont watch it. Discover the game for yourself. This is not difficult.
-
2 RepliesBungie gotta get that free advertisement somehow to the rest of YouTube and world that's heard of Destiny 2 and thinks it's an absolute joke.
-
Im surprised people watch that crap.
-
6 RepliesIf I want to hype my game I'm not going to ask Paul from Wisconsin to tell his friends. I'm going to get Cross to tell his fans. Nobody really cares who Paul is, but at least a few people listen to Cross.

I'll rather play for myself & learn on my own..

11 RepliesThey are giving their opinions, which are by their very nature.... subjective. As it is for any critical analysis. Come on, man. Gotta be better than this.
-
Why would you ask yourself if there’s an arrangement? They openly invited them to the studios to test stuff out and record it? And what dictatorship do you live in where you are forced to watch their content?
-
3 RepliesDestiny as a franchise has had youtubers covering it for what 6 years or longer now? If you are just jumping on or somewhat recently jumped on you kind of don’t deserve to be invited to that event. Plus a YouTube with 349 views a video probably isn’t worth bungies time.
-
2 RepliesWoaaah it's almost like some where invited to play the next build for a day and they were allowed to record it for their viewers. craaaazyyyyy
-
2 RepliesI don't really hate or dislike any of them but thats kinda unfair to players and smaller YouTubers.
-
7 RepliesNotice they only invite people who never give any criticism of Bungie except passively and never have anything real to say about the game. You will never see Joker or Goth get early acess to anything , because they tell the truth, sometimes they like what Bungie does, sometimes they don't. But Bungie doesn't want honest content creators, they want the shills who will positive spin everything they are given, bring on Mesa,Houndish,Khackis and there MVP Datto. They were all in the same footage lol

I don't understand the problem. They dedicate many hours into the game so they decided to make a living out of it by creating content. They become more famous, and bungie decides to invite them to show them a demo of the upcoming expansion in order to hype up some people. Then people are salty. Yet when the raid releases three things will happen, you don't even bother trying it, you may try it completely blind and hope you complete an encounter, or open up a video from these infamous content creators and follow a guide.
-
2 RepliesDon't watch them. Don't subscribe to them. They'll be forced to go away. Also F-uck Datto.

1 ReplyYou know a game is gonna be good when nearly every spoiler and " aha" moment has to be layed out for you BEFORE THE GAME's LAUNCH.
-
1 ReplyOdd how nobody gave a shit for the last four years of bungie doing this until now.
-
59 RepliesAlready confirms that a streamer will get worlds first and not a random fireteam. They are getting all this playing time so they know exactly what to do and already increased their power levels.
-
I never watch these DLC reveals. You shouldn't either. But....some people like them, so that means Youtubers will make videos and people will watch them.
-
It's just bungie being cheap as normal..letting the suckers do the hype videos to trick the people

1 ReplyEdited by Lyrro: 9/29/2019 10:43:15 PMBungie gives these content creators such benefits because they know people will watch them. People gripe and complain about how these ccs are shills and shouldn't be trusted, then they'll go watch that cc's youtube videos like the sheep they are. If people refused to watch these videos, and chose instead to stick to the "outliers" like Joker who refuse to shill out, Bungie would either have to start looking to these outliers for advertisement or they'd just stop giving ccs' such pampering altogether. Listening to people on these forums complain about ccs, knowing they'll just turn around and go watch their videos, is like listening to gamers who complain about mtxs and then turn around and spend $20 on them. If you're watching these ccs' videos to get previews of the new gear, then you are the problem you're complaining about. You're not a symptom of the problem, you're not a part of the problem. You are the problem, because if players could resist the urge to watch those videos then Bungie wouldn't be bribing ccs to make them.

Quit watching them and/or funding them. They play for pay.

1 ReplyI like watching several youtubers and I like their early content. As far as being objective goes, who cares, use your own brain to make a decision.
-
9 RepliesDestiny forum posters have IQ’s that parallel flat-earthers.

5 RepliesEdited by ironcitysteelers: 9/29/2019 6:33:37 PMYes. Free marketing. Increase the range and audience for minimal investment (hotel, meals, airfare) thus increase revenue for said product. No different than a club that brings in and promotes said star will be here on this date. More people more revenue. How bout Nike using MJ to sell a -blam!- ton of shoes. Not sure why people keep -blam!- about that. Delete your YouTube account and you won’t have to watch. Maybe they would invite you but your audiences are limited to your circle.

1 ReplyYou’re acting like this is some new thing that has never been done before. You’re also acting like people giving people an idea of what is going to be in a dlc is also a bad thing. Call me crazy, but I don’t think people reviewing content early is a bad thing, and is in fact a good thing because it shows people what they will be buying.
