Wait, WHAT?! Seasonal artifacts active in PVP?
Just watched a video by kackis about seasonal artifacts, and was thinking thank god, this -blam!-ing game breaking shitshow only has pve effects, then he starts taking about Pvp and how powerful its going to be. I nearly puked.
I hope its not true, but if he's right everyone will need to wake up to how badly seasonal artifacts are going to ruin Pvp. Pretty disgusted right now.
Your going to have sweatlords rushing to upgrade the artifact so they can insta win in comp. All void grenades adding suppression? Overshield with all arc abilities? Are you -blam!-ing kidding?
Remember how badly the tonics in revelry ruined Pvp? Looks like the same except worse :(
Edit: just watched a video by Aztecross who confirmed that it was confirmed to him that they ARE active in PVP.
Don't know what to say about this. I have actually pre-ordered, so feeling pretty let down now :(

i hope they reconsider this, i can see it already. arcstrider way of the wind, wormhusk crown/frost-ee5, 4/5 paragon mods and arc battery = overshield for every engagement.

It’s not that serious. As far as comp, there is no reason to be in there anymore since there are no new pinnacle weapons to acquire. No need to be dramatic.

I think that will only affect Iron Banner in the Crucible (or Trials if they bring it back) but it will have a big impact in Gambit. Won’t make a difference in comp.

Just imagine a wormhusk Crown Hunter using bottom tree arcstrider and every time they dodge they have an over shield for said Dodge and not only that but they also have damage resistance while dodging and they're gaining Health while they're dodging now just imagine them in super they're dodging constantly and they have an overshield constantly it's going to be so broken and I love it.

1 ReplyIt sounds stupid, but I haven't watched any videos in a bid to avoid major spoilers. To be fair to bungie, I believe they said that the artifact was a test to see how well it works and that they wanted to try out lots of new things to see if they work in the game or not. It's just taking a risk, if it's that bad they can remove it next season (or in a few seasons if they want to ensure the test was fair).

Even if they hypothetically did the Artifact will disappear at the end of the season so even if something broken get’s released it will just disappear at the end of the season. Also Fusion dad builds are already worse than anything the artifact mods can do anyway lmao.

I think I'd you're on Steam, you can still requests for a refund. As long as your play time is under 2 hours and you've owned it for less than 2 weeks or something.
