I’m relatively new to Destiny. It’s been an enjoyable game. I’ve been working on completing the Ace of Spades quest. I’m at the step where I need 25 precision final blows and am getting frustrated.
I’ve read very web article post on completing this task and it still hasn’t helped. My biggest problem is I’m not that good at PvP.
I’m wondering what odds are that this quest step would be modified for those of us that aren’t talented enough to kill 25 people?

Use a precision bow like SC or NTB with a Hand Cannon as your other weapon while wearing Lucky Pants. Aim for a player and shoot them in the head and then quickly swap to a hand cannon to finish them off with a headshot. I did this for three games and got it done. Bows hurt a lot to the head.

Well if you need help ill give you free kills no problem if i see you on....

5 RepliesDude, how is that difficult for you? you have so much aimassisst on console it’s nearly impossible to miss! I started playing D2 in forsaken and the first quest I did after the campaign was the one from ace of spades (I never played crucible before that). I did the quest with an 110rpm HC and it was rarity blue! you can’t tell me that you can’t do it unless you use a sidearm instead of a handcannon (happened to me:/ )

You gotta improve buddy. They can’t make this any easier. If your on console use trust it’s a precision frame. On Pc ask the Pc guys but they have no bloom so they all should be good options. 25 kills can be done in less that an hour. I believe in you

Edited by Da Calibrator: 9/25/2019 8:58:39 PMI think you should experiment with different hand cannons to see what you like best and go into Rumble. Don't hesitate to leave a match and try again later or another day if you find yourself in a match full of overpowered players using heavy weapons and supers (some people have got nothing better to do I guess). In fact, you should try logging in at different times of the day and week since ymmv by time of day. Finding the right competition for your level of experience is what will work best for you. Honestly before you know it, it'll be done. Also there are still quite a few players afk-ing this activity. Think of them as the low hanging fruit. Good luck.

4 RepliesUse Crimson

don’t use weapons with explosive payload / rounds as they mess with headshots

Edited by Sweet Lew 88: 9/25/2019 2:59:49 PMThey already nerfed the quest about a year ago. Team shoot and steal head shot kills from team mates. Dont try to one vs one these kills. If you get a chance, watch this video. https://youtu.be/74e3mByi0d0

Just use trust or service revolver.

Sorry to hear you arent enjoying yourself. But the time you spend working for those ace kills are nothing compared to the time you will have to spend grinding pve in the future for god rolled weapons with RNG involved. The ace quest may be hard. But at least there is an end goal and it is guaranteed when you do the task it says to do. That is a rare luxury in this game.

It’s a year old quest, they are not changing it any time soon, all you have to do is train to getting used to the environment of crucible to find it easy
-
Keep at it, keep your expectations low, you'll end up a better player for doing it.

Edited by Tucco94: 9/25/2019 8:00:10 AMIt’s already been modified once, I can’t see them doing it again. As many have said just stick with team and it will pop eventually. Use the hand cannon you feel most comfortable with. You could also try going into Rumble if qp isn’t working out. Good luck with it though, just be patient 👍

As others have mentioned, follow teammates around and shoot what they shoot. Aim for the head and go for clean up kills. Like many others, I used Crimson because it's very forgiving. It feels like a pulse rifle, so its easier to land head shots. I try to avoid PvP as much as possible, but Ace of Spades is absolutely worth it in this case.

I’m crap at crucible and I managed it. Keep at it and you will eventually get it👍

Stick with teammates and take the kill shot.

2 Replies0% Even if you only manage 1 headshot a game you'll still progress on it. You just have to be willing to put in the time.
