Unlink Xbox Live Account from Bungie.net account when I no longer have access to the Xbox account/email?

Hi, I have an old Xbox account that is linked to my Bungie.Net account and I can no longer access or login to that Xbox account - the email address for it doesn't actually exist anymore. Because of this, I can not unlink the Xbox account from my Bungie.Net account. All I want to do is link my main Xbox account to my Bungie.net account, but I can't unlink the one I don't have access to. Any way around this? So annoying.

 • In order to unlink an account, you must be able to authenticate it, which means you must be able to log into it. Bungie cannot forcibly de-link it. I would suggest contacting Microsoft concerning recovering your XBL account. This will save you a lot of trouble and let you keep your current Bungie.net profile. If you are unable to gain access to your XBL account, then you will not be able to unlink it from your current Bungie.net profile. If you're trying to set up cross-save, then your only option will be to create a new Bungie.net profile and then unlink/relink the accounts you actually want to that new Bungie.net profile. Just keep in mind that if you go with the new Bungie.net profile, you will lose access to the code-granted bonuses you've redeemed on Bungie.net because those are tied to your current Bungie.net profile.
