If you're able to maintain a healthy FPS of 140 or above in crucible, as well as everywhere else I'm curious to know what your setup is.
In game graphical settings I'm not concerned with as for me I get the same FPS at 720p lowest graphics as I do at 1440p highest graphics. No matter what I do (I can even take away all render resolution and make the game look like it was made for the SNES) I can't increase my FPS and get an avg FPS of 140 or above. It will spike into the 240-250 range when just flying through space loading into an instance, but as far as in Crucible or actual in game activities, I'm not even close.

i get 144+ fps but the game stutters

If you can find a build that can do 140fps in the Menagerie, I'd like to know.

Cpu Ryzen 3700x Gpu Evga 1070 Ram 2x 8gb Hynix CJR 3200mhz with timing lowered I get over 150fps on average, but the problematic areas like trostland, Titan and the tower can drop as low as 80fps. Playing at 1080p with everything on low except texture quality at highest and 110% resolution.

Lmao everyone here at like 120+. I'm here happy with 70 lol

Edited by jnikoley: 9/23/2019 8:47:36 PMI seem to have squeezed out a little more fps on my rig, 120fps low, 180fps high, 140 average on patrol. I creeped up on the CPU OC from 1.255V to 1.270V and increased OC to 4.7GHz. Strangely, both my GPU and CPU utilization went up each by 25%. I’m testing now in crucible. Edit: Seems to hold true in crucible as well. This was a pretty big improvement from such a minor change on the OC. I’m not sure why CPU utilization went up, though. Perhaps it’s measured as if it’s not overclocked. Maybe tweak your OC a little up/down and see if you can find a sweet spot. Many have posted they had to go stock to get an improvement.

1440p I average around 100 nowadays. The game was 144 at launch but has degraded overtime even with a 1070ti card

Edited by jnikoley: 9/23/2019 7:34:23 PMI’m pretty close to 140 “average” fps in Crucible if I run uncapped, but not nearly stable enough. I’ll see short drops to low 100s but see ~150 more often. I’ve set my frame cap at 120 which I can maintain ~90% of time in Crucible. My highest CPU utilization on any core is around 60% with overall CPU utilization around 40%. My GPU utilization is also around 40%. I’m using less than 7/32 GB system RAM and 3/11 GB GPU RAM. Temps are good on both CPU and GPU. This barely changes if I run uncapped. I can only increase my GPU load by increasing render resolution above 120%. As I increase render resolution above 120%, fps will begin to come down, but be more stable. I think I’ll need to lower my frame cap to 110 to maintain a consistent 99% fps lock. I feel like I should be able to achieve higher stable fps considering nothing I’m seeing is working my hardware. Specs: i7 8700K, 1.255V (stock voltage) 4.6 GHz OC. RTX 2080ti OC 32GB DDR4 @2666 MHz 1TB SSD I could probably squeeze out some more fps with faster RAM, but from other benchmarks I’ve seen, I would expect less than 10 more fps.
