Apparently they're turning their focus on an overhaul of the game and releasing seasonal events in the mean time (similar to the cataclysm event).

“Anthem gonna kill destiny”

In other words it's over. They cancelled the remains of their road-map, the entirely of the Act structure, and have nothing else to show for it. Apart from the vague promise of 'we're working on it.' Anyone believing anything substantial is coming is going to be severely let down. BioWare have more then likely shifted the majority of remaining talent over for Dragon Age 4 and left nothing more then a skeleton crew working on Anthem. Here's a good idea - Don't say 'the future of Anthem' and then literally show nothing.

3 RepliesCampaign is a joke, u do first few missions then u have to do tomb challenges which are almost impossible
-
2 RepliesWhat ees dees “Anthem”?

3 RepliesNot like it's gonna save the game from disaster. They can try to improve Anthem all they want, but most players who have left won't go back. It's a shitshow of a game. It was a good concept of a game, yet executed so poorly.

1 ReplyThat's good, if they can improve the game eventually maybe I'll give it a try

There is a reason why I never bought it

1 ReplyForgot that game even existed.

1 ReplyCan’t say I blame them, anthem was a train wreck in every sense of the word.

2 RepliesWhich I think is their best play....and only play right now. Bioware is having to LEARN how to build a viable end-game right now, as they go. Anthem's flopped out of the gate. Mass Effect: Andromeda had almost no worthwhile replayability, and a loot system that was even worse than Anthems. The Cataclysm, though, has been a home run. Like Patch 1.4 for The Division 1, it was a quiet success that has been well-recieved by the current player base. Patch 1.4 laid the ground work for the critically-acclaimed patch 1.8 revision that was dropped on The Division 1 a year later and brought many people back to the game. The Cataclysm was a home run, in that BioWare showed that they could pair the game's satisfying game play loop.....with interesting mechanics....as well as a satisfying loot chase. (A lot of the new guns they added were REALLY fun to play with). But the problem is that Cataclysm is only one event....and there is still not much that is satisfying to do over the long term. People are getting burned out on the strongholds. The story added to the Cataclysm was pretty meh.... The loot system still has bugs that need ironed out. ...and Freeplay is just a broken concept. Its basically releasing four people into a play space the size of all the play spaces in Destiny 2....with NOTHING to do by random encounters and public events. There is nothing to do other than fly around aimlessly and hope to run INTO (by luck) a pub event.....and HOPE that it will attract other players. Freeplay right now is just this vast, largely empty sandbox to fly around in. I think BioWare is making the right call in knuckling down and fixing these major design problems, rather than wasting resources trying to advance a story narrative that many players never really connected with anyway.

4 RepliesHmmmm. Still not gonna reinstall it.
