My understanding is Explosive Payload precision damage doesn't increase your overall precision damage, but the total is what the precision damage would be without it. Meaning that Purpose would 4200 Precision shot if it didn't have Explosive, but with it, the shot does 3400 + 800 which ends up being the same damage. This doesn't explain why the damage is 1400 lower still. Or am I incorrect in my understanding of EP? Edit : I found some other posts about it, and the damage does fall-off pretty hard once you start getting to higher damage brackets. So you are correct. Thank you!
