Typically, pc bans are due to software detected by Destiny 2 while running. These include but not limited to, trainers, aimbots, auto-fire, mods, graphics hacks, anything that injects code into games, debuggers for programing, even some viruses. any of these could cause a ban, even if not destiny 2 specific
Restrictions are temporary, and will not be overturned or undone before they expire. Once an account is banned however, that ban is permanent. Account restrictions and bans are only done in extreme cases; if actions were taken against your account, then it was with reason.
There are NO options to dispute or overturn account restrictions or bans.
Bans are lifetime for that account

Yeah I’ve done none of that, I was just playing the shattered throne when I got randomly weaseled. I then tried to log back in I was banned.
-
Bungie's anticheat detected something either in your gameplay or on your rig that it felt it violated the game's policies, it then flagged your account for review, Bungie SRT Staff members then reviewed your account, validated the reason for the flag, confirmed it violated policy, then manually placed the ban.

Edited by Vexx: 9/19/2019 2:16:07 AMOh well, guess I just got scammed out of a little over a hundred because I haven't ever had cheat, debugging, programming or any other software tied to Destiny 2. Hopefully bungie replies with an actual reason as to why I got banned.
-
It does not have to be "tied to Destiny 2." Any program running that can inject code, debug, etc., even in the background are cause for ban.
-
Yeah that's what I meant. I haven't ever used stuff like that on any game, let alone Destiny.
-
Well, obviously... ...You did. (With all respect, of course. Probably a complete accident)

I understand the skepticism, but like I said in other posts on this thread, im not looking for a free unban. I just would like to know why I was banned. Because as of right now i have no idea.
-
I can’t say for certain; because I don’t know. Hopefully BNGSecurity will show up and answer that question for you.

He admitted to running Visual Studio for school. This has tools for code editing & debugging....2 specific style programs Bungie says not to run
-
That’s most likely it then.

Ah, gotcha.
