Raid Exotic Thresholds

Yes to exotic floors (reward players)

37

No to exotic floors (keep sweating!)

I'm not sure.

I don't think anyone likes having cleared a raid numerous times, sweating it out with difficult groups, and sherpa'ing newbies through over and over to still not get the highly coveted raid exotic. We've all been their. Why not reward such dedicated players? I propose a (looted) clear count threshold or "floors" if you will that increase the odds of the raid exotic to drop. Maybe something like at 25 clears the drop rate goes up +5%. Then at 50 clears an additional +10% ... so on and so forth. To reward the players that help others through, but still have yet to get their exotic after 75+ clears. But, the new guy got it his first clear! I know someone out there can relate! Let's encourage Bungie to reward dedicated players. Thanks everyone.

  • D1 gad good loot and many "exotics" that could drop making them worth my time. I hardly do raids in d2 because the lot is meh and the exotics have such a small chance to drop that it's not even worth it

    • I'd be happy with a quest system, like Legend of Acrius. You need to play the raid a number of times to get the guns full potential. Even the Wish Ender, to a point. Pure RNG is bad from a player point of view, and there is a chance that you will never get the one thing you want. Bad luck protection is good from players point of view as you can eventuallly get said shiny coveted object. Its good from bungies point of view as players are more likely to grind for that shiny. Overall for the health of the game, both systems are bad as once the player has the shiny, that content does't get played, new players can;t get groups or get sherpa'd and continue the cycle. Once you have all the loot in a loot based game, thats it. Anyway do raid exotics matter as such a low % of the game population plays them anyway, and as long as they are elite-est collectors items, does it really matter?

      • Personally I’d prefer a quest system or quest like for the d 1 outbreak prime and touch of malice

        • Give us quests like touch of malice and outbreak instead of pure rng
