From Antiope and Jack Queen King to Spare Rations and Recluse, you've been an important part of the PvP meta for a long time now in making weapons shoot further than intended(RIP my Gahlran's with max Range and RR too).
In the coming days, I suspect your only use will be what you were originally intended for, and that's bouncing shots off walls to hit people from crazy and cheeky angles now and then by people with Doctorates in Geometry.

6 RepliesEdited by TwoFiveOne_: 9/17/2019 11:32:31 AMYeah... ricochet rounds just went from one of the very best perks to probably one of the worst. Edit: my bad, misinterpreted the twab. It’ll still be pretty good, probably on par with something like accurized rounds.

I think for console players RR will still be the way to go bc or the added stability
-
1 ReplyIf RR is getting nerfed, can Wardens Law get fourth times the charm back?
-
I always thought of it as a glitch anyway. The fact that it adds more range than Accurized Rounds is pretty ridiculous given that it also adds 10 stability and the ricochet effect. It's actually still a really good perk after the change.
-
1 ReplyYou're still getting a stat boost to range and stability.

4 RepliesEdited by michael: 9/13/2019 9:36:15 PMAt least it makes the bullet slot a lot more likely to get you a god roll on spare rations. Instead of needing ricochet you can now get ricochet, light mag, high caliber, and armour piercing and they all do the same. The range of a rangefinder, full bore, ricochet, range MW spare rations was honestly way out of hand and needed to be nerfed somehow. That gun is way too strong for how low its accessibility is. Pretty disappointed that 140s werent made able to 2 head, 1 body in this update though since they kind of desperately need that

2 Replies*laughs in max range austringer*

All they did was tweak the range bonus on it...still definitely an excellent perk.

3 Replies“I felt a great disturbance in the Light, as if thousands of ‘god-roll’ gun videos were suddenly made invalid by the nerf to Ricochet Rounds.”
-
4 RepliesWhat about Hard Light? Will this affect the Volatile Light perk?
-
1 ReplyThat's really shitty. So now what other range perks do we have for 2nd perk?
-
Bye to my favorite Broadsword...
-
6 RepliesFallout Plays will probably make a nice video explaining all thr pros and cons of the update.
-
It’s a long time coming because anything in the game that’s useful doesn’t belong.
-
Definately. The nerfs going to ruin my ricochet/rangefinder/kill clip service revolver and my arrowhead/ ricochet / range masterwork broadsword 😢
-
Really armor piercing rounds are always going to be best against stacked enemies, high caliber for head flinch and ricochet rounds for range and stability, they like all weapons being balanced are all situational too! Sandbox has not changed much in pvp because it is in the best place it has ever been in destiny’s lifespan! Ricochet rounds are still going to be good for overall weapon performance, just will start to have more damage fall off!
-
Pretty happy about this, I’ve always preferred light mag over rr because of the increase in reload and you get the same +5 in range. Sorry not sorry
-
It’s a long time coming to be honest, ricochet was always a necessary perk for any ‘god roll’ overshadowing all other perks in that category. It still offers +5 range and +10 stability so it has those benefits, think it will still see use but at least high cal and armour piercing will be hitting the same range cap as it now and so are viable options.

Edited by dramund3: 9/13/2019 1:31:21 PMI always preferred AP rounds anyway

what utter and total BS. bungie: thanks for nothing. where is the forum that says bungie sucks so I can go add a like.
-
5 RepliesI am pretty upset about this all those hours 4 God roll ricochet spare rations down the drain
-
1 ReplyEdited by Balderdash1112: 9/13/2019 5:38:50 AMWell I mean none of the other perks n that slot have a stability bonus as well besides smallbore I think
-
1 ReplySo will accurised rounds be better than RR now?
-
1 ReplyIs that why people liked it so much? I just figured it was for the stability buff or something.
-
4 RepliesIs ricochet rounds important? I may be old school but I always sought after high caliber
-
2 RepliesThey still add stability and range, just lose a little damage fall off!
