@BungieHelp Hello, I am a player of El Salvador and I want to ask why the ban on my account says that it is for connection problems but that is not in my hands and for me there are no problems of concession, and I think that the ban is unfair and I want it removed

28 RepliesEdited by BNGSecurity: 9/11/2019 8:57:58 PMYour account received a restriction due to extremely poor connection quality when matched against other players. Bungie takes steps to protect the experience of all of our players. Players who have extremely unreliable connections may be prevented from matching against other players to preserve the integrity of the experience of their opponents. Your account was detected repeatedly and consistently playing with Packet Loss over 9%. Your restriction was issued only after providing a warning (on Jul. 07) followed by a grace period and continued detection of these poor connection statistics for many days afterwards. Your restriction has been reviewed and upheld. Continuing to play with an extremely poor connection after your restriction is lifted will result in additional, longer restrictions, up to permanent restriction from PvP activities. For help resolving issues with Latency and Packet Loss, please visit this section of the Network Troubleshooting Guide: https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Troubleshoot?oid=13603

2 RepliesEdited by Keeper of Shaxx's Vow: 9/12/2019 12:43:08 AMWhen you have an extremely unstable connection and attempt to participate in matchmaking activities (which is basically 90% of Destiny 2) your issues don't just affect you. These issues negatively affect your teammates' experience with the game as well. Example; if you are getting kicked every time you load into a comp match, your three remaining teammates (for that match) are being forced to participate in an uneven match up until the servers can put another person in their game. More likely than not, by this time they will have suffered a loss because of your connection issues. Your ability to connect to Bungie's servers is out of your teammates hands. However, your ability to connect to Bungie's servers is 99% of the time in your hands. Consider getting a better service provider, hooking up an Ethernet cable, or just not playing games that require a stable internet connection. Just because you think a ban in "unfair" does not mean the ban isn't valid.

Restrictions are placed manually on accounts that are deemed to be repeatedly ruining game experiences for others in PVP, or gambit. Restrictions will not be overturned until their duration has passed. Use this time to stabilise and improve your network connection so that you stop harming games for other players. The first restriction will last two weeks. If you do not fix your connection, the next will be two months. If you still persist in ruining the game for others, you will be permanently banned from PVP in Destiny 2. Please be considerate of others and work on fixing your connection, to avoid further repercussions.

Sounds like you have connection issues you cant control? Bungie has standards and i guess you dont meet them? Sounds like you will get banned. Sucks for you. Are you on WIFI? IF so, go hard wired.

there are only 2 reasons one can be restricted from pvp activities, one is connection issues and the second is cheating/playing with a cheater. I am going to assume it is the former and post bungie's statement on connection restrictions along with their tips for improving the connection.
Beginning soon, players with the most unreliable connections will receive an in-game warning. We know that connection quality is fluid, so don’t worry if you have occasional, temporary issues. If you receive one of these warnings, please visit the Network Troubleshooting Guide. If your connection does not improve, there are additional guides available that can help you in diagnosing advanced network issues. If all else fails, contact your ISP for assistance. If your connection does not improve after an in-game warning, and we continue detecting a negative impact on other Guardians, restrictions from PvP activities may be applied to your account. If a restriction is applied to your account, you will be unable to participate in PvP for two weeks. If you continue to play on an unreliable connection that harms the experience of other players, that restriction may be extended.
(source) If for some reason you are not able to improve the stability of your connection, it is recommended to refrain from playing pvp activities as the negative side effects of your connection will lead to longer restrictions. Connection based restrictions: 1st is 2 weeks 2nd is 2 months 3rd is permanent Restrictions are temporary, and will not be overturned or undone before they expire. Once an account is banned however, that ban is permanent. Account restrictions and bans are only done in extreme cases; if actions were taken against your account, then it was with reason. There are NO options to dispute or overturn account restrictions or bans.
Updated security policy and functionality so players who have been banned from competitive activities cannot access Gambit playlist
(source) *I am not a Bungie representative, just a player trying to give the answers that are available.
