Hi,
I've played D2 a little bit on console but have recently moved to PC and sold all of my old console gear.
I'm aware that D2 is moving over to steam come October however I am looking for a way to purchase and play the game now.
Does preordering Shadowkeep on steam allow you to play D2 as it is currently from date of purchase on steam or do I have to wait until shadowkeep releases?
If so, are there any viable workarounds such as purchasing on battlenet and playing until shadowkeep's release date and subsequently transferring over?
I'm quite keen to jump in to D2 on a new platform but the prospect of a 2-3 week wait to jump in does sound a little bit annoying.
Obviously I will wait if need be and will play at release regardless but if a workaround exists that would definitely be ideal.
Thanks!

2 RepliesEdited by Cheeseball: 9/10/2019 12:59:19 PMI am in a similar seat. I do own the base game and the first two DLC, Osiris and Warmwind(?). I really want to be able to purchase Forsaken Complete edition though to continue progressing since I kind of hit a dry spot, and am admittely to impatient to wait until october 1st. I don't see why we are unable to purchase it any other way than to wait to be honest. If anyone sees this and who are able to help me in this matter, please hit me up. I would gladly pay full price for the complete edition. Have a great day :)

Edited by arkham81a: 9/10/2019 6:53:27 AMPre-ordering D2 on Steam will not let you play until the game releases on Steam Currently there is no way to play D2 on PC unless you already owned the game on Battle.net prior to September 3rd when it became unavailable for purchase in preparation for moving clients. Your only option is to wait for it to release on Steam on October 1st
