I am trying to link my xbox account so i can do cross save and it keeps coming up with this error "Authentication Error; We were unable to sign you in with your Xbox Live account. Please visit xbox.com and sign in to verify/update your Xbox Live account. This error usually indicates that your Microsoft account has no Xbox Live Gamertag, or that your account must be updated in some way, such as agreeing to an updated terms of use." any help will be greatly helpful.

I think you have a child account selected go on your xbox go to settings then family settings and create a parent account if you haven't already

If this is from the weekend, XBL and a number of the major networks were under attack and that may be part of it, but if it is happening now, then it usually means the passport account being picked up by Bungie is a cached passport login from some other entry. Usually this happens to me when I use the browser to log into my Hotmail account then go to Bungie afterwards, which now picks up my hotmail login ([i]since they are all MS Passport accounts[/i]), which has no XBL account assigned to it. The easiest way to fix it, is to close the browser completely so it drops all passport sessions, open the browser again, go to XBox.com and log in with the proper XBL account there ([i]that you expect t use on Bungie[/i]). Then log out of XBox.com and re-log back in - this resets the cached Passport account to your XBL account. Now go to Bungie.net and it should pick up the XBL account and let you log in. {{{ OR use a different browser altogether that has not been logged into XBL, or any other passport account, yet }}}
