Speaking from a experience I'm going to sound a bit insensitive right about now, but know that I only wish to provide perspective and not condemnation... If you're being entirely on the level, and your mother is gravely ill, the last concern you should be having is about a set of video game armor. It means nothing. Family and especially ones mother should mean the world to you - which I'm sure they do. This leads me to my next point. The importance of her well-being should minimize your concern about this in-game armor to the point where it isn't even really a relevant thought in your mind. The option for escapism is still present and available to you, by just being able to still play the game... Which is the part that matters when you just need to "get away", so to speak. I truly hope everything improves for your Mother, but understand that connecting her plight to your concern for in-game armor doesn't present itself quite well. People who are losing or who have lost loved ones to any disease will tell you first hand after any loss that not much else in the world really matters at that point. No valuables or possessions, no plans or future ventures... The only thing they want is either that person or their health back. Again, I genuinely hope things look up for your Mother and family. Be there for her as much as you can and for the rest of your family. And yes, enjoy the games as a form of escapism but don't sweat the small stuff.
