Could a Lightbearer forge it's self a throne world or make use of Hive Sword-Logic?
What would happen if you tried to wield both Light and Hive-Magic? Would you just become corrupted like Dregen Yor?
Lore suggest that some how the Drifters tech is a mixture of stolen tech from other races such as the Vex and also Hive Sorcery. What exactly is his end goal? Do any Lore Entries tell us what his goal is? Is he really Dregen Yor or Ulan Tan?
I wish we had story choices where we could choose to be a villain or at least an anti-hero. I wish we had "Dark" classes and subclasses.

Swordsman was a great day to get in them and grow up and get to know better than that I will do better things better and then you will do that I love it and I love it I can still play it if you can do anything you want to me I can do anything else and then I will have it to be a good thing I can get you a better way and I can still play with it and you will do it and I can do anything you want me I can get it to get done it will do it and I can do anything you can love.

We make use of the Sword Logic every single day. The Sword Logic is simply “to kill to grow in strength”. And we do that. We grow more and more powerful with everything we kill. Especially those more powerful than us.

Edited by Shockwave 989: 9/10/2019 2:08:58 PMAsk Toland. Only cost him his ghost, his Light and any shred of a physical form he possessed. Also, be a villain? Oh yeah sure, enjoying hurtling towards extinction

Oh, someone had. Aka, Toland the Shattered. His knowledge of Hive Arcana allowed him to cheat death and basically create a small throne world

1 Reply<To be a villain in the sense of "I choose the Darkness" is a rift in of itself. Do you choose the power of the Deep? If so, that's fine. Do you choose the Darkness itself? If so, then you're literally sentencing yourself to death. IT wants nothing to do with you after its take over, and will annihilate you like the insect you are. The Queen of Final Shapes is a predator.>

You could follow the same logic, but I don’t think you get the same benefits of it for a couple of reasons. For the most part, guardians practice more in Light than in Dark, and to embrace the Sword Logic means to worship the Dark as well. Also, to really practice the Sword Logic is in direct conflict with Guardians and how they can resurrect. This is the same reasoning why Nokris was banished, because he was resurrecting Hive which is in conflict with the Sword Logic.

I hope they do this with the whole "evolving world" plan that they have. It'd be an interesting way to start becoming the wannabe MMO that they want Destiny to be, allowing a character to use dark or light classes. It would be interesting to see how that would affect PvE as well with introducing new abilities
Could a Lightbearer forge it's self a throne world or make use of Hive Sword-Logic?
Possibly, but we don't know all of the nitty-gritty needed to do so; we know killing very powerful beings is a requirement, but that's likely not the only thing. Our ghosts serves that pseudo-purpose in the meantime though.
What would happen if you tried to wield both Light and Hive-Magic? Would you just become corrupted like Dregen Yor?
More like Toland and Eris. Yor became corrupted by Hive magic and went mad, but Toland and Eris actually managed to exploit it for their own purposes.
Lore suggest that some how the Drifters tech is a mixture of stolen tech from other races such as the Vex and also Hive Sorcery. What exactly is his end goal? Do any Lore Entries tell us what his goal is? Is he really Dregen Yor or Ulan Tan?
His goal is to camp in a cave when a second Collapse comes around (future night terrors or something, courtesy of The Nine), pointing his Gjallarhorn at the door for anything and anyone that ties to share some space. In the meantime, he wants us to kill Taken and become strong enough to hold back the Darkness long enough for him to find a cave and stuff it with food. After that, he probably won't care what happens to us. Truthfully, he's more than likely going to die before any of that happens, likely by our hand.
I wish we had story choices where we could choose to be a villain or at least an anti-hero. I wish we had "Dark" classes and subclasses.
We can only dream.

is that not what they are trying to say with artifacts?

Could a Lightbearer forge it's self a throne world or make use of Hive Sword-Logic?
We don’t know if we can make throne worlds, but we have made use of the Sword Logic when wielding Crota’s Sword, and Toland said we could have claimed Oryx’s power when we killed him.
What would happen if you tried to wield both Light and Hive-Magic? Would you just become corrupted like Dregen Yor?
You’d be like Toland or Eris. Specifically, he believes a second Collapse is coming and wants to hide and let it pass, but is also trying to prepare us before he ditches us to hide.

1 ReplyNah, I prefer Bomb Logic.

3 RepliesToland did.

9 RepliesThe Sword Logic is simply growing in power with every powerful enemy you kill. We use the Sword Logic all the time whenever we kill a powerful enemy. Using actual Hive Magic?? We use the Thorn, and that’s as close to Hive Magic as we’re gonna get. Don’t wanna end up like Toland or Yor.

13 RepliesNo, Hive Throne Worlds can only be created by the Hive, and those of a similar power to those they worship. It was their wish, and that is what they got from the deal. Our "Throne World" exists in another form, and that is our Ghost.
-
Toland sure seems to think we can.
-
Not entirely sure, but that didn't stop my Huntress Shikna from ripping out Crota's power and claiming his Throne as her own! #FireteamFalcon

Toland the Shattered was researching the Sword Logic when he joined Eris Morn in her journey into the Hellmouth, where he was destroyed. But according to the lore available, his death did not put an end to his belief that the Sword Logic had to be utilized by Guardians in order to triumph against humanity’s enemies, and this belief is represented by the existence of Bad Juju. Mynameisbyf goes over some of the lore surrounding Toland, the Sword Logic and Bad Juju in the following video: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Ainy2b368Hw (΄◉◞౪◟◉`)

I think you would lose the light if you did so.
