Does bungie want me to hit max power?

I started today on all my weekly reset stuff I started at 747(was gone since Tuesday) I have gotten one piece of gear that has been above my old peice. ONE, like come on, I've done all my cruicible (2) my strikes(2) daily missions (1) hawthorn (1) Ikora (1) flash point (1) menagerie (3) and menagerie bounties (3 so far) only one of those items have dropped higher. I just got a 749 pair of gauntlets, I already have 750 gauntlets??????! Jesus Christ. So frustrating.

    • Considering you can get to max light from pretty much every activity in the game? Yeah they do.

Powerful drops are never based on the power of your existing gear in any particular slot, they’re based on your overall power. You need to fill up your other slots with gear closer to the level of your highest item to increase your overall power level. If your character power level is 700 your drops are going to be +1-10 of 700 for any item that drops. If you got a gauntlet, it’s gonna be +1-10 of 700, not +1-10 of whatever your gauntlet is. You also get higher power increase drops from weekly milestones and the latest endgame than daily challenges. Do weekly milestones like raids, Reckoning, Ikora, and NF first, then daily challenges.
