• You ignored the two week restriction and did nothing. Stay out of pvp or the next resection may be permanent

  • Restrictions are placed manually on accounts that are deemed to be repeatedly ruining game experiences for others in PVP, or gambit. Restrictions will not be overturned until their duration has passed. Use this time to stabilise and improve your network connection so that you stop harming games for other players. The first restriction will last two weeks. If you do not fix your connection, the next will be two months. If you still persist in ruining the game for others, you will be permanently banned from PVP in Destiny 2. Please be considerate of others and work on fixing your connection, to avoid further repercussions. Please; we’re not stupid. Do not blatantly lie. You did have warning: it was your first restriction, which you evidently ignored. Don’t ignore this second chance to fix your connection. You won’t be given another one; your best next restriction will be permanent.

  • Bungie does not lift restrictions. If you now have a 2 month then you did not fix your connection. Take note this may be the last restriction the next could be a ban. What actions did you take to fix your connection?

    • If you are on a 2 month for connections, that would mean that you had a 2 week and did not correct your connection issues. Here is bungie's post on the connection based restrictions.
Beginning soon, players with the most unreliable connections will receive an in-game warning. We know that connection quality is fluid, so don’t worry if you have occasional, temporary issues. If you receive one of these warnings, please visit the Network Troubleshooting Guide. If your connection does not improve, there are additional guides available that can help you in diagnosing advanced network issues. If all else fails, contact your ISP for assistance. If your connection does not improve after an in-game warning, and we continue detecting a negative impact on other Guardians, restrictions from PvP activities may be applied to your account. If a restriction is applied to your account, you will be unable to participate in PvP for two weeks. If you continue to play on an unreliable connection that harms the experience of other players, that restriction may be extended.
(source) If for some reason you are not able to improve the stability of your connection, it is recommended to refrain from playing pvp activities as the negative side effects of your connection will lead to longer restrictions. Connection based restrictions: 1st is 2 weeks 2nd is 2 months 3rd is permanent
Updated security policy and functionality so players who have been banned from competitive activities cannot access Gambit playlist
(source) *I am not a Bungie representative, just a player trying to give the answers that are available.
