is this a console problem? I don't see this much on pc. That said, wardcliff is not a competitive heavy, you only get like 1 or 2 kills with it. Things like heavy machine guns, grenade launchers and truth, let you rack up a lot more damage over time in pvp

  • On console I basically have equated that loadout with a 80% chance of a loss. If you see a team running it they’re likely to be well coordinated and good enough in a 1v1 situation where if you miss a shot you lose 9 times out of 10. Hammerhead isn’t extremely viable on console because of flinch and recoil. If you can’t get the optimal TTK consistently, people will outgun you and you lose heavy. Luna/NF may have been nerfed, but they still have extremely competitive TTK numbers and since other handcannons have bloom and target obscuring recoil, they’re the still the best to use. In part, that’s the reason why you’ll still see 180 RPMs in PvP on console: because that .2 second TTK difference between 150s and 180s is less of an issue when you factor consistency of those optimal TTKs.
