Eh, to be fair though, Fixed Odds(really High-Impact MGs in general) is pretty buns for PvP compared to say Hammerhead. It kills in the same amount of shots but fires slower, and has much, much more kick. And on top of all that, it picks up less ammo, meaning less kills.
I think the only time it's better is if you somehow stack enough damage perks at once to make a three-headshot kill like in the last game. But for reference, the only time I've done that is with two stacks of Rampage and Inertia Override all active at the same time.
Maybe you could do it with a Well of Radiance, but even then, the archetype's just not worth using if you need your Super to make it good.

Or stuff like tap the trigger and under pressure that raise your accuracy to the point its bullet magnetism.

Edited by DiZ: 8/28/2019 6:56:38 PMBut I can get Tap The Trigger on Hammerhead as well, and it lasts just long enough for each individual kill. Not too sure about the perk pools on Fixed Odds and Bane of Sorrows, but unless they can get maybe Kill Clip(though good luck taking advantage of that in PvP) or Swashbuckler(only if you can get the melee kill first), I really don't see a point in using them over Hammerhead. And HH can also get borderline max Range on it(my favorite one has Extended Barrel and a Range Masterwork), so the accuracy/bullet mag. will be very similar. Edit: I checked the perks/stats.
From a stat standpoint, Hammerhead blows them out of the water with its much better recoil direction, better base stats, and even triple the aim assist. Bane of Sorrows actually can get Kill Clip, but you'll almost never see that come into play in PvP. And Fixed Odds can even get both Tap The Trigger and Under Pressure at the same time. But then you're using potential damage perks like Rampage or even High-Impact Reserves to put a bandaid on the horrible base stats High-Impact MGs have, whereas Hammerhead doesn't need those to have the same ease of use.
Hammerhead is better than fixed odds and more cancerous especially on pc. My point is the dude is a hypocrite and is running the sweat pack and the typical sweat excuse is I need it to counter other sweats which is not justifiable. Every blueberry in crucible is not a legend rank dude running the dad pack.
