You're a fool if you let them get so close.
I'm a scrub at PvP but still can easily counter/avoid shotgunners, Jötunn, etc.

I didnt even mention Jotunn. So the fact that you did means that even you know 1hks are ruining the crucible. Its all people use. When your PvP only revolves around a 1hk meta its time for change.

Also, what you're suggesting was actually the thing in Y1D2 where 450 RPM autos ruled and everyone was team shooting. So like I said, people will always find a way around the system and take advantage of loopholes.

Something or the other is going to be the meta at any point of time. Like right now it's hand cannons and shotguns. All we can do is adapt. If the meta doesn't suit our play style, we can't just keep crying till they adjust the meta to suit us. If you think that everything is going to be super balanced then it's practically impossible.
